From Sunday.

60 miler around Stirlingshire and Perthshire with a few old goats.

Nice ride except this bit on the last 10 miles or so.

6 miles uphill with a hefty headwind.

Legs felt like lead since....

Blast around Cannock Chase yesterday with the girlfriend. Haven’t had as much chance as she’d like to get out riding with work and stuff so spent the morning helping her work on a few bits before her coaching session on Saturday

One of those utterly brilliant days when you think..... fk it, let’s go home early and go for a spin yes

I appreciate there are many great places to visit in the UK however I think I am so lucky to live in the South, the Downs are a brilliant playground that’s for sure

And then off for a swift one before we got home beer

Thanks

I suspect we pass each other frequently as we whizz all over the South Downs!

Another one for the South Downs today! Out via Amberley, cake stop in Chichester, back up the (surprisingly choppy) lanes past Goodwood. Reached Milk Churn 5 mins after closing frown Returned home via Tanhurst Lane but legs were feeling it by then. 86 miles total.

A close up of a couple of lumps above Ed Burton

Flowers, went up and down trying to get this but it doesn't do it justice

Had a couple of days in sunny Cornwall. I'm sure many will know this shot, taken from the Bowgie overlooking Crantock beach.

My new Santa Cruz finally arrived yesterday so what better way to break it in than to ride up to the summit of Chacaltaya at 5,300m and back to La Paz for a beer afterwards? Tough climb but what a bike!

Can I ask a sincere and perhaps a silly question?

I love a lot of the pictures on this thread and although I don't partake in cycling myself, I have to wonder....do you HAVE to include your bike in someway to prove that it is indeed a 'today's ride' pic....or would just a view suffice.

Some do just put pictures of views, but are they derided by those of you who include your transport or don't you really care?

First ride on new tyres, wow, 25mm gp4000s2s roll so much better than the crap oem Schwalbes I had on before. Got out this morning and did a 48 mile loop over to Alhallows, real banjo player country. Managed 18.2mph average, happy with that, all the 5am turbo sessions are paying off.

River Thames is at the end of the path....

It’s basically an unwritten rule that any pics taken on a ride, especially solo rides, have to include the bike. Just the way it is.

Unless it’s a bit tricky to include the bike - like this one from this morning’s pootle...

Someone with a decent camera could have got some great shots of the sunrise over Manly Dam. But I only had my phone...
