By the time you've got to the top, you're barely doing 5mph going straight into it, so not as dramatic as you might think - it was the next corner when doing 30mph and hitting a 20mph headwind that got me - wasn't sure I was going to make it round! Found that crouching down to reduce wind resistance made it better on subsequent laps.

The apexes were surprisingly rough, not that you need to apex on a bike, lol.

I've just moved to Wantage. It's beautiful, panoramic views of Oxford within a mile of my front door - i'm so pleased.

It's fantastic around here for the MTB, the roads are a bit crap but if you head out through grove and east hanney towards denchworth there's some lovely stretches! There' a group of MTB's who go from the ridgeway cycles shop in Wantage on a Thursday - or our group go from Upton but that's a bit of a trek from Wantage

Looks like we rode possibly the same place last night. If cameras was panned left it would be more or less your photo.

Edited to add maybe not think you are looking from the opposite direction. The big fire is just the gas power station that’s next to the old coal station.
