Rode out from the outskirts of Lichfield to Netherseal in Derbyshire this morning. Stopped off at Netherseal’s cemetery to have a look a Sir Nigel Gresley’s grave. Then got soaked to the skin in a torrential downpour on the way home.

Saturday Club ride out from Chester to Neston on the Wirral.

This is overlooking the shooting range between Neston and Queensferry.

I then went solo on the way home via Northop Hall.

Club ride to Saddleback Farm Shop over the hill from Wantage. Absolutely chucked it down between Great Shefford and Lambourn on the way back.

Round two. Nailsworth and up the ladder to Halfway cafe for a slab of cake. I had to take some home with me.

I love autumn, the ShockWiz gave me an excuse to hit the Forest of Dean trails!

How did you get on with it? did you make the adjustments on the fly?

Nice little bimble around my local woods. Big smoke on the horizon.
Caesar's Camp? (The one near Fleet, not one of the seemingly thousands of other Caesar's Camps around the UK, so many in fact that Caesar couldn't possibly have visited all of them...)
Lol, yep the Alderst Ceasers. Hows the leg?
Leg is getting better. A little over 5 months from breaking it and I was officially taken off my crutches altogether by physio. I'd been doing short trips (up to a mile) without them for a couple of weeks anyway, but good to be walking fairly normally again.

Range of movement still not there, but I'm working on it, along with fortnightly physio sessions. Pace is improving too, up to 3 mph now! That's almost "average walking pace".

I'm also permitted to cycle again, but I've not done any more than "down the road and back to the house". Starting and stopping is awkward, as the injured foot is the one I lead with. I was a bit wobbly on the bike too, but as soon as I get back into it I think I'll adapt OK. I'm banned from hills though. Hannah, my physiotherapist, says "low gear, high rpm, no hills, and absolutely no standing efforts. And no more than 15 to 20 minute rides to start with please..."

Can't complain though. I was looking at some pictures of my ankle when the cast first came off, and they're gross, to be fair. My foot was only recognisable as a foot because it was at the end of my leg! I'm going to settle for an easy winter this year (no Festive 500 this time! cry ) and look to get properly rehabilitated in time for the Battle On The Beach next year...
Sounds like a proper rough time matey.

Something a bit different from the London contingent. This is a new perspective on the Olympic Velopark for my race on Saturday. Can't post videos directly so it's a link https://www.instagram.com/p/BqE1zmtlSq7/

Proper Scottish mtb conditions the other day in the Tweed valley. Haven’t been that muddy in a long time. Still fun though!

The city in the distance

Up the lane

Trail Blocked

Then it went wrong

No idea what I hit but the bike stopped dead, I didn't, and thumbsnap won't let me upload the right way for some reason.

Thumbsnap being ironic, it being upside down, probably as you were....

That fracture looks like it hasn't displaced too badly. It is relatively close to the AC joint so be careful with that in the future. Fingers crossed for a full recovery.

Cheers, yeah I thought the same about thumb snap! hehe Feeling pretty battered tonight, hopefully the other bruising, i have quite a bit, will ease over the next couple of days.

Seeing consultant Monday on my work health care, see what they say

I don't think that will require surgery, personally (Whilst I'm no consultant, I am trained to take and read xrays smile ), but see what they say. It will take some time to begin to feel a bit better, so don't worry if you feel no different in a weeks time!

You do appear to have a small hand overlying your distal clavicle at the fracture site though winkhehe
