Giro 2020 Ride here in Budapest this morning, arranged by the organisers.

Breakfast, free pink t shirt (woohoo!) and and police escorted, rolling road closures, ride through the city.

Tres cool.

Arse...

Busy dual carriageway, Powerlink split open, chain double wrapped around chainrings. Stop. Swear. Throw bike down. Swear again. Realise one part of powerlink is still attached, and then find other part in the road. Swear some more whilst unravelling chain and refitting. Ride off covered in oil making note to clean the chain.

Whilst fixing the bike, a handful of classic cars drove by. Internetting on the side of road told me there was a Cars and Coffee meet about 2km away, so I put all thoughts of doing 80km behind me and went and looked at some old cars instead thumbup

Club gravel ride from Chester to Parkgate on the Wirral.

New coffee stop for us, Elephant Coffee on the prom, highly recommended. yum

Picked up the Wirral Way on the return, wet, muddy and filthy in places - much enjoyment smile

Saw this beauty this morning near Chanctonbury Ring. They don't normally hang around long enough to stop, get your phone out and take (loads of crap) photos but this one did.

Club ride today amounted to three brave souls due to the weather.

Anyhow, we sucked it up and did a route from Chester into Wales, up The Steps towards Bwlchgwyn (Wales highest village laugh

It was a bit murky at the top, fortunately some were dressed for visibility....

The Grade is great in this weather with full mudguards keeping things nice a dry....

Some pictures from a ride around the Gower at the weekend. Pretty much every type of terrain to test my new bike (bar snow). Taking a new bike onto the beach probably didn't do the best for it either...

Friday's ride was chasing my son round the pump track bard at 417 Bike Park:

Then on Sunday I got out for a local MTB ride. I took my camera with me and found these mushrooms in the woods:

Another mucky after-work ride, 3 sunny days not enough to dry things out after 2 weeks of mostly rain. Still good to get out for a hoon though.

A few from central Portugal last week. 7 days of brilliant weather, spectacular scenery, empty tarmac, tough climbs and awesome descents.

Sun was out today and I was working from home, so I snuck out for the last few hours of daylight and glad I did too. I love autumn with the colours etc. Saw a massive stag and plenty of deer, and a few kamikaze squirrels.

Spot on! I tend to stick to the unofficial trails these days.

I've only ridden that bit a few times with some local lads - but by coincidence I also saw a huge stag near where one of your photos is taken.. I was so surprised I had to stop.

Theres some great hidden gems round there but I wouldnt stand a chance of finding them on my own.

There are an awful lot of trails, my knowledge barely scratches the surface. One of my friends is like an encyclopaedia of off piste trails. Downside is he’s rather fast..

I really need to find out where the off piste stuff is at Cannock, a few bits are easy to find, cant miss them off the main trails but there's a hell of a lot more and I don't know where to start.
