Waiting for the Giro to start in Lanciano today

You're never far from a glimpse of the Blockhaus, not in the route today but part of my route to the start

From the day before, but the route went past here. Was here in August, couldn't get in the car park, could hardly get on the beach.

Filling up after my 100k with a local delicacy, arrosticini. It's just skewers of mutton, which sounds a bit...meh, but so nice! The middle two are standard, the two on the right a little piccante, the two on the left, liver and onions. OMG! So this, a massive pizza della casa, a beer and a glass of red, £21.

Twilight 25 miler around locked-down Flintshire, managed to transgress the border between Flintshire & Wrexham plus the border between Wales and England, not that I give a toss laugh

Stunning sunset though...

Finally got an on-bike pic taken by someone else!

Cracking weather here today in BP, spent some time riding round Margit Island and then out north of BP again. Lovely.

Very nice Johnny boy!
Thanks mate!

Of course the weather has turned to st now...
I see you’ve managed to complete the kit with the new Rapha Aero Beard (TM) too - good chap biggrin

Weather here is starting to feel like summer and the beach is v busy at 0630, esp with small but entertaining swell getting lots of boards in the water - stopped by Manly on the way home...

First MTB ride as an adult. 8 miles followed by a 350m fell and back again. Descent was sketchy, scarier than I thought.

Felt like I deserved this... And also the one after...

Not me, and not from the actual ride, but MrsPB spent 6 hours lapping Eastern Creek Raceway today as a way of raising funds for CCIA. 136km later, came home with a nice new top and some very aching legs...

A few rare piggies on the road on my return from a lunch time ride. Nearly took one out as I cane round the corner!

Got home to find the misses cooking bacon for lunchtime sarnies smile

The farmers let the pigs out to eat the acorns, because acorns are poisonous to various other sorts of wildlife.

I went and knocked the farmers door, he wasn’t aware they were out! (Or he did a great job of pretending he didn’t)

The lane they were out on is a cut through and cars come howling along it a lot of the time. If he had let them out he was endangering the poor little trotters lives!

My youngest son and I had a great ride at the Forestry Commission site at Dalby Forest today, until he can off at the stunt park and bashed himself (and his bike) up.

Sunday morning gravel section mid point on 60km ride...

As usual the camera fails to show how steep this section is - I’ve ridden up (just) and down on mtb and it’s tricky both ways...

Mona Vale Beach...

Took the new gravel bike out for a spin this morning at 7am, new route which is mainly road based. wasn't wise as it was mainly up hill and had done deadlifts and squats at the gym the day before.
