A very wet and cold 50km+ on the "cheap in comparison to some" roadie this morning.
Lovely comfortable bike, nice to smash some Strava times on this poverty bike! All about the engine etc...
Same goes with this vintage '81 steel I have, passed a few serious rigs on this aswell...few grunts as I passed, but the fact we are all riding, that's the main thing
Yesterday afternoons ride..

Obviously looking for speeders... well, I didn't disappoint! I hit the 70->30 transition at 43 mph.
Now this is where the fun begins... but downhill, with a tailwind, I maintained a very good pace, until I was off onto the A35.
Last resting place of one of the few remaining S3 Suicide Lanes in the country.

Interesting stem and bar set up!
Yeah, has a riser stem for more comfort/touring giving a slightly more upright rideEdited by DailyHack on Sunday 31st January 08:41
However, to do that now would mean a rewrap of the bar tape which isn't difficult but is a pain. It'd likely provide more comfortable and numerous hand positions on the bar.

The bars rotation is a little odd - you'd usually have it rotated anticlockwise until the top of the bend was parallel to the ground. Levers shifted further round the bend.

Interesting, thanks for that, I am actually thinking of a longer stem anyway, so will see about the bar rotation aswell, thanks for the heads-up, I did find myself on the bars alot trying to get a comfortable position However, to do that now would mean a rewrap of the bar tape which isn't difficult but is a pain.
