I've got family in Bovey Tracey so I know the roads around Honiton quite well. Don't think I'd risk the A35 on a bike though! eek
Oh, it was just the "technical" bit of the A35 into Honiton, off the A30. The A30 wasn't even too bad, because of the descent, but that was the big road of the day. I've done the A35 in other places before, e.g. Chideock to Bridport, though... and on Boxing Day, the whole stretch from Dorchester to Bridport.

The River Nene was almost over this little bridge.

Small world.
I cycle through there regularly, although it was flooding rather than snow last time I was in that area hehe

The mrs is having some teething troubles learning to ride berms.

To be fair, this is only her third time out on an mtb, she’s loving it! For the most part..

That road is the bain of my life, nowt worse than coming home at 0230 and finding it closed! I wouldn’t recommend riding through it, pretty much every st that’s been shat in West Yorkshire will be lurking in there and it gets to about 4’ deep past the garage. If you every get chance then riding along the Allerton Ings spillway is good fun once the river starts to over top it.

I live about 5 minutes away, so use that route or the spillway quite often.
A mate I cycle with was knee deep in water getting back from Cas the day after I took that photo. hehe

Foggy at the Dyke this morning. Also, finally took the leap and went tubeless, new Gravelkings SK on. So far so good!

Lots of freezing fog to ride through this morning but worth it when the sun finally appeared.

Just over 17 miles today, around the Quantocks. First time I can remember getting any sort of cramp in my legs for a long while. Then again Strava said it was my longest recorded ride

Indeed!

Some areas I cycle in have outside bike washes that can be used for €1. Main cycle routes need more of these!

Like riding through treacle! Cold and snowy with a lot of climbing but worth it!

Got to mid afternoon today and I thought I better force myself out for some kind of exercise! Only a very short loop of box hill.

Lovely to see a classic getting used properly. I hated my old road bike up Surrey Hills climbs. Tough going on a bike that weighs about 12 kg and comes with a "low" gear that gets right down to 39x25... yikes
