That could pass for Scotland. Weather here is mega at the moment. Fingers crossed for similar weather to last year - glorious spring with hardly any rain.
You'll have venture south and try some of the Sutton Bank (hood Hill) and yearsley trails.
I took the Jet Track as a great reminder. Used to hit that on the old Spec Hard Rock 30 years ago !
Good loop, 30mi and heaving with road bikes today

Well worth a trip now the trails are drying.
I bet it felt night and day easier on the ebike, geo 30 years ago was twitchy as hell.
Apologies for not being strictly in compliance with the thread description but am so made up over finally breaking this distance barrier I am showing and telling anyone I can find!!
For an overweight middle aged leisure cyclist I'm well proud of achieving it on this loop yesterday
Glorious sunny day and SO many cyclists and runners out it felt like a community outing!!

If you go a bit further, the mendips are scenic... but you can take the strawberry line and avoid the worst of the hills too!For an overweight middle aged leisure cyclist I'm well proud of achieving it on this loop yesterday

The end of my longest ever ride went in that direction...
The blackdowns would also be stunning on a nice day (my last long ride before this weekends went out that way, both sub 100k. I've been struggling quite a bit with the distance of late).
Some good cycling territory around this part of the world.
I ride to Visegrad, and Esztergom, quite often. For shorter rides just up to Szentendre is a decent ride. Especially with the new bike lane. Multiple ways of getting to Visagrad, either Danube side up from Szentendre, or via Dobogókő from Szentendre if more climbing is wanted.
For a quick blast I just head to Margit Island for some laps, which is close to where is live and enables me to get some training in during the work day.

Margit is flat though! My wife is from there, so normally fly there every year, but never took any of the bikes with me (no space in the flat). I am very curious about the new bike lane now, I'm very tempted to rent something next time I'm there. For a quick blast I just head to Margit Island for some laps, which is close to where is live and enables me to get some training in during the work day.
40km ride out to Chester this morning (coffee on the Dee) on the single speed, loving this so much, working me so hard, my fitness has hit the roof!
I am actually contemplating selling my geared road bike, just sitting getting unused now, just love the simplicity of it all! - Hills don't even scare me nomore, just stand and dig in!
...and no I don't have a beard...yet

Cheers. Actually me and my riding mate were actually considering pushing further on after reaching Bridgwater on that same route and going to Burnham as the next step onwards. Gassing Station | Pedal Powered | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
