I tried the aluminium rear light out on my travels around Cheshire.

I had it set on the lowest flashing mode and it was still going strong after 4 hours.

I did find one issue with it though.....

I've used the rubber band mount to attach it to my seat post. The mount that the light clips into has an angle adjuster which allows you to level the light depending on the angle of the post.

Going over badly broken surfaces causes the light to tilt down.

I've fixed it by removing the rubber shroud and fully tightening the screw which is on one side. This "fixes" the mount in the desired position and stops it moving when crashing over rough roads....

I've just been to my local Aldi and picked up one of their winter jackets.
Feels good and looks pretty nice too and for £17 you can't complain

Don't suppose they had any 'large' in stock in the fluorescent yellow did they? I bought one in medium and it is a little snug and can't find any large ones anywhere.

Wore it out yesterday morning early as it was a bit nippy around 7am and it certainly works well.

They did on Friday in my local (Portishead) one. I'll pop in there on my way home and see. There was only one medium fluoro one left on Friday and that had clearly been tried for size by a tramp so I bought the black and red one instead. If they've got one I'll get it and swap for your medium if you'd like?

They didn't have any aluminium lights left either to replace my broken one. They were untouched on Thursday.

My original Moon Comet that I bought a few weeks ago is also barely holding a charge, I reckon they are just crap! I'm going to stick with Lezyne and Exposure in the future.

Thanks for looking ...!

Annoying it all sells out so quick and also that you can't phone around / get them to reserve one or something, but I suppose that defeats the object of the exercise which is to have it priced so competitively that people practically beat the door down ..

Did anyone try the turbo trainer? The reviews for it don't sound to good:

Disappointingly, i have the same problem as others - after only 10 minutes use (having been careful to have the resistance as minimal as possible) there is a deep groove in the red plastic roller, which is clearly not durable enough to do the job it is supposed to do. It was easy to set up and i can see that it would be good if not for the roller being rubbish - how did it ever get released? Did the manufacturer never test it themselves? It also damages my trust of products that Aldi sells, so a bad move on their part to stock this.
