Had my bike a few weeks now and am really pleased with it having swapped the brakes for Shimano 105's, swapped over the tyres and tubes from my old bike, fitted a 90mm stem along side a new saddle and a rear 105 derailleur.

Now I'm after any suggestions for a new headset?

Overall pleased with the purchased, it covers the ground quicker than the Specialized Allez Sport it replaces, £400 well spent :-)

Any problems with the existing headset?

Seems a pretty daft thing to swap out if not faulty. No offense meant.

Cheers

It's OK has a little bit of play in it confirmed by the guy at the local bike shop who reckons it might need a grease and a tighten. If that doesn't solve it then finding a replacement could solve it.

A threadless headset is a reasonably easy thing to set up on your own. I'd have a look at the Park Tool tutorial online.

I've found a indentation crank side just below the front mech , I've been in touch with liyang to find out if its design or a fault , could I please ask you to check your Ventura frame and let me know if your bike frame has the same indentation , cheers

I have the same thing on my frame, noticed it when I removed the BB at the weekend. Think it's to provide clearance for the front derailleur?

I’ve just checked my frame and it has the indentation as well so guess it’s nothing to worry about. I’ve upgraded a few bits on my CP50 over the last couple of months and I’m really pleased with it, compares nicely with the Specialized Allez Sport it replaced.

Upgrades - Shimano 105 front and rear brakes, 105 rear derailleur, hollowtech bottom bracket, Sora crank, Charge Spoon saddle, Schwalbe Durano tyres, Clarke brake blocks and black bar tape.

Still haven't used mine..
Fitted race blades, Spd pedals & hung it up in the garage, but still using the other bikes. That's the trouble with impulse purchase!

BSA thread HT2 BB fits a treat smile Going HT2 is a good upgrade.

Nice to see another nicely modded frame above. Mine's now got a secondhand set of Ksyrium SLS on, a 105 & Ultegra mix.

Just thought I'd mention that I'm going to be selling my unused bike shortly, it'll be going on eBay if anyone is still after one.
