I agree. He won't be caught now. It's a shame Kristof wasn't racing this year. James has prepared and ridden a great race but it would've been satisfying to have beaten the champ. Hopefully in a future edition.

Hell of a win though.... he's going to end up with more than 12 hours in hand over Bjorn - an amazing achievement.
As you say, would have been good if Kristof had been racing but I'm sure not much will dampen James' spirits now!

Great win from James. Fantastic for him after the disappointment of 2015 and his brilliant comeback in 2016

Knew James in my teens, best mates with his step brother.

Always had a spectacular levels of self motivation shown by his ability self teach himself so much.

Loosely followed his rise from starting out not so long ago to this through his step brother, quite incredible to see and glad that crazy level of motivation he had has gone towards something as impressive as this.
