I have a winter Altura Jacket which is quite heavy, and was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a lightweight, packs small, waterproof for the summer please?

I got one from here. About 80g and folds up compact enough to put in a pocket for a night out. I hate carrying a jacket around.

I had a Montane featherweight one which was cheap - relatively - and easily packed into a jersey pocket but was a bit "boil in the bag"
A quick Google finds them at the usual retailers for a bit more than 30 notes

In one of the Rapha sales a few years ago I picked up their variant for 90 quid which was a bargain - they dont seem to have a direct replacement now, the 'wind jacket' at 140 seems closest but mine has better weather protection

£90 for something which sits in a pocket most of the time seemed OK, dont think Id spend more than that

Cheers

I use a Gore cycling wear waterproof, definitely small enough to pack into jersey pocket. DHB do an Event waterproof jacket....I have the gilet version so I suspect the jacket would also be very good, as I'm pleased with the gilet!

My Gore one retails at around £180 I think.

I've got one of these http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/reviews/jackets/end...

Very lightweight, reasonably waterproof.

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I ended up getting this one. Waterproof, light and cheap.
