A new brake calliper, as disks/pads haven't stopped the squealing. It looked like only one piston was moving on the old calliper.

My new Vitus Sentier winter hardtail arrived today as did my Burgtec bars, saddle and pedals for that bike.

The Vitus Hardtail I was after as a winter / family bike came into stock this week so I snapped one up in the cycle to work scheme.

I’ve not been able to resist getting a few other bits too...Burgtec bars, saddle and composite pedals, AMS frame protection kit and a bottle cage. They’re all waiting patiently for the bike to turn up.
I've been impressed with my Vitus, which is now mostly a winter/riding with Owen bike. I've done the best part of 6,000 km on it, although the only original bits are the frame, stem and bars...

It seems like a nicely made / well spec’d bike for the cash. Looking forward to actually riding it...didn’t bother today given the weather. A canoe would have been a better bet.

Popped into Wolfi’s bike shop in Dubai. Really is a cool place and was made to feel very welcome. Needed a new road helmet and tried a few on. Surprising winner over Kask and new Bontrager wavecell i tried on at the Trek shop at Al Qudra was this Abus: https://www.abus.com/uk/Mobile-Security/Bike-Safet...

Very comfortable and light and a great colour to match the Madone.

Just arrived for £47 delivered with a discount code. Bit of a bargain, I think.

Looks like it should be nice and warm now the colder weather's here. And I love its nice and bright for those dull days

2 x KMC X10 chains for the winter bike. One for use as soon as I get round to it, the other for stock as I’ve run out / misplaced the one I thought I had in a cupboard...

Exciting times!

LeCol Pro Therma Gilet. Ordered Tuesday, with me in BP yesterday.

Went for XL, but was worried it may be too big. No need, fit is great when over the Aqua Zero jersey (which is a race fit large).

4 deg but sunny on Sat, perfect temps to test it out. Quality is great.

Not bought, but found!

I was looking for a 10sp chain and cassette I swear I had in the spares box for my MTB. Turns out I have a spare chain but no cassette.

But!

Emptying out the boxes that were still sat in the garage after moving house, I have found a 9sp chain AND cassette for my retro Cannondale, and I'd completely forgotten that I had them. No luck finding the vee brake pads it also needs though...

Stolen Goat Orkaan long sleeve, 30% off. Tried on at work and is a great fit, might wear it on the way home to try out the water resistance...

Just bought a new Zoom suspension seatpost for my gtech escent... The cane creek was too high, even on its lowest setting... Made balancing a tricky job!

Also fitted a generic mud guard on the back, just need to get a small one for the front now.

Decathlon trip for me today. 10 speed 11-36 'Microshift' cassette, two pairs of Vee brake pads, and a pair of winter bib tights. Money's tight as I also had to put my Trek Emonda into the shop for a new bottom bracket bearing, so I had to put the KMC chain and disc brake pads back for now...

gutted, ive just gone and snapped the rubber strap for the front light of my ALDI light set (link below). does anyone know of any manufacturers making spare straps? i'm using rubber bands for now. if it costs anymore than £10 for a rubber strap then it probably isnt worth buying, may as well just buy another set.
