I have one of them. Lovely and unobtrusive looking, but just too quiet.
Correct.... useless as a bell but at least I have one as part of a defence in the ongoing trail wars

Still waiting on them being sent out, Chinese new year delay on the rims and back order on the purple pulley wheels from superstar.

Just ordered some new wheels for my CX bike, less weight (over half kilo less than stock) and tubeless ready.

Some IXS carve EVO+ kneepads after a small off at the weekend resulted in a whack to my knee in my Fox launch pads which are lightweight foam. These are about 100x more burly, meant to be nice and comfy though according to reviews.

Plus bought some oakley jawbreaker prizm trail torch glasses.

How can anyone need to buy tyre levers. I’m not sure I’ve ever actually bought any, yet I appear to own loads of them.

Mid-Off chain cleaning device. Brilliant little thing, fully recommended especially for this time of year.

Bit of an exorbitant purchase, but I've got a Kickr Snap coming Friday. I'm hoping that and zwift get me into a better shape than less frequent (due to weather, etc) outdoors riding this year.

A Selle Italia SLR Boost Superflow Saddle. One with a huge cutout.

I'm fairly insensitive to saddles outside but start suffering with a little numbness indoors after an hour.

Wow! 2 hours yesterday and right from the very start it was incredibly comfortable. Seems to encourage more pelvis rotation than the old saddle.

New jockey wheels.... bringing back the 90s look.

How do I get my post to show the image?

Can anyone recommend some decent grips for my new stump jumper, took it for the first ride to Llandegla at the weekend and found them awful. Really hard and painful half way round even with gloves on.

Thanks

My favorite for trail & long distance - ODi lock ons

Slightly larger diameter than most, really grippy / soft and seem to wear really well too... going back to anything else just feels skinny and feeble.

I've found silicone ('foam') grips are the answer. I use Bontrager ones, but plenty of options out there. The joy of them is that you can stretch them out a bit to make them thinner, or "bunch them up" more to provide a larger diameter grip.

https://www.trekbikes.com/gb/en_GB/equipment/cycli...

They are literally just a tight fitting silicone foam sleeve you push onto the bar and an end cap to close the hole. Pretty difficult to rave about them, as they're so damned simple, but the best thing I can say is that I never give them a second thought. Which means they don't have any deficiencies that would make me think about them on a ride.

There are some other versions that consist of the foam, combined with a lock-on system. Not used those, but maybe worth considering...

https://www.google.com/search?q=bontrager+foam+gri...

I came from lock-on grips. Not sure which brand now, but I've not once regretted switching to the silicone foam sleeves. They just work.
