Any recommendations for a good value top tube bag? As I'll have less access to jersey pockets over the coming seasons, I'll need to put my cleat protectors and iphone/keys somewhere with easy access.

I've got a Topeak Tribag which was something like £15 but is well-made, big enough for most things and, while not guaranteed to be waterproof, has proven to be rainproof enough.

That's quite a rake angle on the forks.
65° head angle with the fork set at 150mm of travel.

I got my Spatz Roadmans and after a few rides over my Spesh Torch 2.0 and thick socks they are good enough (borderline I'd say) except once when they got wet one evening then i started to get cold. I can tell that when the temps drop below 8c like they currently are things are still going to get cold.

I am going to get some Northwave shoes.I will still have the Spatz in case the Northwaves dont keep me warm either

Is it absurd to buy the NORTHWAVE EXTREME R GTX rated to -15? Given i probably wont ride in sub zero unless the roads are dry.

Or should I get something slightly less expensive, rated to -10 (NORTHWAVE CELSIUS R ARCTIC GTX)

Honestly worried I am going to get a shoe thats so warm its actually uncomfortable (which would be almost ironic)

I have had a pair of the GTX Celsius boots for the last four years.

Never suffered cold feet in them.

Wet, yes as the neoprene cuff around your leg will let the water in eventually, but when when wet, my feet were still warm.

I've got the Northwave Flash Arctic GTX Winter Boots. Those with Rapha deep winter socks defied anything I've ever thrown at it temperature wise, including -15 in Chicago, but that was dry.

Despite their claims, they are not fully, fully waterproof - after 3 or 4 hours, water does get in.

I've also got Spatz 'Pro 2' Overshoes which I was mightily impressed with. I don't imagine needing to use them, and the NW boots AND deep winter socks, two out of the three will suffice, irrespective of weather.

Went for the Extreme R's, hopefully they fit. Got a couple of sizes to try.

Wife is absolutely spewing as there has been a torrent of bike related packages recently.

Castelli Pro Light rain jacket down from 175 to 80 at Merlin, looks like it could be a useful commuting jacket.

Perfetto.

Last bit of Winter gear for me, no more purchases.

Hopefully.

Maybe some base layer leggings.

Nice. Hmmm.... Maybe not my final purchase then.

hehe

I have a LS Gabba, SS Perfetto but think this will compliment both.

I find both get saturated after a while and this shell type jacket should work well on my commute to avoid that.

As per recommendation here - and instantly recognisable as more hardy than the two previous versions owned (that have failed)

Have just booked a bike fit - getting left anterior knee pain and about to start commuting 9 miles each way every day so better nip that in the bud.

A opted for a top tube bag from Sigma. Last one in stock and discounted a little; £19 delivered and it fits my iphone XS.

Noting you have inner cables showing, isn’t the bag strap locating it around the top tube, going to restrict cable movement / scratch the paintwork?

I just took it out of the bag and placed it for fitment, but noted, I shall see if it can be fitted so that cables aren't restricted. I'll likely place some insulating tape to protect the frame, unless there are any other hacks/tips?

Matt Hallam at Crimson. Best in the business IMO.

Lancs and Rapha in Manchester.
