Le Col vouchers : what's the best value item(s) to spend them on?

I keep being "awarded" these for Strava challenges.
However, whenever I look on the Le Col website, there's very little, or at least three seems to be very little, that would likely fit me.

I'm 5' 10" / 178cm and 100kg, but reducing weight by 1-2kg / week at the moment.

In your opinions, what's the best stuff to buy with these vouchers, please?

(Weather's warming up locally. Road bike will be back out next week! woohoo )

Plenty on there that’s decent, as long as you like the look of it... Given our size info I’d say you’ll need XL (I wear L, am the height as you and currently 85kg. Was wearing the same L at 95kg too) or maybe XXL if you want it less race-tight.

The Aqua Zero jersey is a good place to start, as are the ProTherma bibs thumbup

I've been using a pair of 5 Ten Freerider Pro's for the past 2-3 months and if anything they are almost too grippy! You almost have to lift your foot off fully to re-position your foot if you need to. Not really a negative and so far they are great with good water resistance and good support. Definitely go a size up.
Good to hear, thank you.
I bought a pair of Sleuth DLX a few months ago. While don’t have any complaints about them I don’t feel they’re as amazing as was led to believe. Definitely good and sticky when the weather is warmer but less impressive when cold.

Will maybe see how I feel when the weather improves a bit but meantime bit underwhelmed!

Cheers, Johnny. I'll take a look.
I've had so many vouchers expire, so I should really redeem one now and again, just need to hide the packages form my wife! laugh

Sleuths are no way near as good as proper 5:10's, I use them for messing around on but my free riders or Trail cross for proper riding. Different compound sole makes all the difference

I'd second what Jonny said - I'm 5'11" and 85-90kg - LeCol Pro stuff fits very well in L, their Sport jerseys I could get away with in M, just about, but L is okay.

I used my last £50 voucher for a pair of their Pro 3/4 bib tights - which are fantastic.

I think the one before went on a Sport S/S jersey plus some Espresso cups...LeCol vouchers are about as close as I'll ever come to being a sponsored rider!

i am struggling to find a new ultegra 11 speed cassette with any descent discounts - and matching chain too - is there a global shimano shortage or something....

It's a wear item - just put a 105 cassette and chain on there instead. It'll wear out again anyway and then you can go back to Ultegra stuff when it's back in stock. I use 105 mostly on my road bike, where it was supplied with Ultegra kit. The only difference is a couple of grams, so far as I can tell. I've certainly not noticed any difference in shifting reliability or any performance degradation. Ultimately you could even put a SRAM cassette on as they fit on the same freehub body. Or something by Sunrace. All will certainly be a better option than running a worn out Ultegra chain and cassette.

Bought a set of these at the weekend, been out for a decent MTB session on them once since:

Seem great so far, only issue I have is my pedals aren't quite suited to them, I've been using Crank Bros double shots, clipped in with a pair of Shimano MT5s.

Fine when clipped, but the flat side of the pedals and the underside of those shoes are basically completely uncompatible with each other.

I’ve jus ordered some Favero Assioma UNO Power Meter Pedals for the summer bike, looking forward to some warm weather and being able to see my power.

Yeah you're not gonna get a set of shoes that work with the flat side of the pedal. well not well anyway.

One of these for the Slate. Previous tool bag had the zip go, so roll top is a good replacement thumbup

Big enough for a 650b 28-44 tube, multi-tool, tubeless repair kit, tyre levers, CO2 canister and inflator.

I can see Carbon Fibre, so very little explanation should be needed, obviously.

But, say I was considering them to go in my Bonts, (once we get into March and I'm allowed to spend again), what do they do ???

Thank you please.

Well, umm... carbon....ermm... biggrin

Supposedly provide much better foot and arch support. increase leg/knee stability. Reduce/eradicate hot foot... Increased power and efficiency...

Also, did you see the carbon?
