Just acquired this pink and grey old school Look 486 frame - these were the last Look frames to be made in France.

Will replace my Ridley Noah frame which is a touch too large and giving my knackered hip grief.

I'll be putting rotor chainset, Ultegra groupset and AC 420 wheels onto it to use as my general bike.

Very very nice, I've got a set of v12 mags and would love to upgrade but I think I'd wince too much when they get scratched!

Le Col x Strava jersey. £25 with a code from Strava. Decent.
Mine's due today, supposedly they size a touch small.

Wouldn't normally have bothered, but £25 + p&p is alright for a jersey.

Hey Bob,

I've come up with an idea of what to do with all those marketing jerseys we were going to giveaway at conferences that were cancelled due to to covid.

We can sell them for £25, they only cost £8 each from China, and the buyers are paying for the privilege to be cycling billboards for us which should get us more users
biggrin

I'm usually a medium in jerseys but went up to a large on this one, fits nicely. It's actually a really nice jersey, on par with anything I have from Assos or Castelli.

Looks nice that - is it an opt in challenge on Strava? - assume it's linked to the Everest distance / climb?

Opt in, do an Everest in June, and be a Strava subscriber to be allowed to buy it for £25.

If you have the Honey plug in on your browser, it might find a code though...

Yep, join the challenge and climb 8848M of elevation in a month (ends tomorrow though but will include anything you've done in June before joining the challenge anyway)

A derailleur hanger and quick link to try and get a pal back on the road for buttons.

Hopefully both the derailleurs are salvageable.

I might have put some caffeine gels and some bar tape in the Wiggle order to get free postage. The bar tape is for the kids' tennis racquets.

Ordered mine - appears to be due in October, though, which is a bit dull.

Not that I'd be buying the jersey anyway, but I'm less than half way done on that elevation challenge with only one day left. Can't see me finishing it now. Too much time spent eating well and drinking wine this month, with my wife having some time off and us going away. I've walked more km than I've cycled this month, or so it feels...

Damn. Wish I'd seen that one. £25 for a jersey is decent value, especially stuff like Le Col.

in my club this challenge has got a bit silly, think most of us have either done it or will do it. I was on holiday for a week at the start of june then was away another weekend supporting a club ride so didn't get out much on my bike for most of the month. Didn't want to be left out though so only decided to do it a week ago. Have done 13500ft of climbing in the last 7 days and still got 3000ft to do tomorrow. I'm not giving up now biggrin

They're decent jerseys though so £25 is good value.

I like that! You won’t bump into another at the cafe stop unless you’re in France.

When I ordered mine on Thursday last week the Le Col website advised September shipping date, DPD delivered it the next day..

Edit: photo of the actual jersey.

I thought the due to ship date was the wrong way round - ie was american format and assumed 8/10 was actually the 10th of august.

Thanks. I like slightly leftfield kit - I only swapped to Look pedals because I use Assiomas - I was using time before that. cleats are like unicorn tears to find....

I'll post a picture when ~I have built it up.

I also somehow, have to get 3,000 feet of climbing in before tomorrow to complete the Le Col Everest - thankfully I live somewhere hilly - a few times up and down the Wrekin on the CX should sort that....!
