The "what bike bits have you just bought" thread Vol 2
Discussion
Just acquired this pink and grey old school Look 486 frame - these were the last Look frames to be made in France.
Will replace my Ridley Noah frame which is a touch too large and giving my knackered hip grief.
I'll be putting rotor chainset, Ultegra groupset and AC 420 wheels onto it to use as my general bike.

Le Col x Strava jersey. £25 with a code from Strava. Decent.
Mine's due today, supposedly they size a touch small.Wouldn't normally have bothered, but £25 + p&p is alright for a Jersey.

Hey Bob,
I've come up with an idea of what to do with all those marketing jerseys we were going to giveaway at conferences that were cancelled due to to covid.
We can sell them for £25, they only cost £8 each from China, and the buyers are paying for the privilege to be cycling billboards for us which should get us more users

I'm usually a medium in jerseys but went up to a large on this one, fits nicely. It's actually a really nice jersey, on par with anything I have from Assos or Castelli. Wouldn't normally have bothered, but £25 + p&p is alright for a jersey.

Looks nice that - is it an opt in challenge on Strava? - assume it's linked to the Everest distance / climb?
Opt in, do an Everest in June, and be a Strava subscriber to be allowed to buy it for £25.If you have the Honey plug in on your browser, it might find a code though...

Yep, join the challenge and climb 8848M of elevation in a month (ends tomorrow though but will include anything you've done in June before joining the challenge anyway)https://www.strava.com/challenges/le-col-8848-chal...

Not that I'd be buying the jersey anyway, but I'm less than half way done on that elevation challenge with only one day left. Can't see me finishing it now. Too much time spent eating well and drinking wine this month, with my wife having some time off and us going away. I've walked more km than I've cycled this month, or so it feels...
Damn. Wish I'd seen that one. £25 for a jersey is decent value, especially stuff like Le Col.loudlashadjuster said:

I like that! You won’t bump into another at the cafe stop unless you’re in France. Will replace my Ridley Noah frame which is a touch too large and giving my knackered hip grief.

I'll post a picture when ~I have built it up.
I also somehow, have to get 3,000 feet of climbing in before tomorrow to complete the Le Col Everest - thankfully I live somewhere hilly - a few times up and down the Wrekin on the CX should sort that....!
