Today my order arrived:

11-42 10-speed Deore cassette
Front and Rear Deore brakeset and discs
Shimano Bleed Kit
10 speed XT chain
Louis Garneau Sharp Helmet

My afternoon will be spent converting my partner's Whyte 901 from a slightly hill and descent unfriendly 1x10 11-36 with mushy AVID DB-3s to a more confidence inducing ride.

The helmet is because I'm about to get back on the road and my old lid and padding were looking fairly distressed.

Ahh... they've put it up since yesterday:

ORDER DETAILS:
==============
1 x Giro Cinder MIPS Road Bike Helmet – Special Offer - Matt / Titanium / Medium / 55cm / 59cm @ GBP 56.25 = GBP 56.25

I didn't use a voucher, but you've reminded me I did have some loyalty credits so I could have got £5 off an order £50 or more. Oh dear, I guess I'll have to go shopping again.

I thought it was about time I gave the fleet a bit of a top-up.

Orange Seal really does seem to have the edge over Stan's.

Best price I could find was Tredz - nice surprise to find they are doing the Haribo freebees now too!

When I get a wiggle box the family gather round... disappointment reigned this week. Are tredz consistent?

I'm buying MTB stuff off them (usually the bits Chain Reaction don't stock) - but they seem pretty close on the money and delivery seems fine too.

Never had a problem, often picked up a few bargains.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm not sure he cares about the price or the delivery... he wanted to know if they consistently ship their boxes with Haribo! laugh

Indeed - should be in the rules somewhere, "it's all about the haribo!"

There's probably not much difference between wiggle and crc in terms of what they stock these days as the convergence continues post buyout.

Fitted Absolute Black oval big chainring yesterday. First impressions are positive - it's a different pedal feel but I seem to be spending longer in the big ring and over 55 miles familiar routes yesterday and today my average cadence was 5% higher.

7idp M2 helmet and a pair of 100% brisker gloves. To replace my 10+ year old Met road helmet and because summer isn't quite here yet...

Being the sort who always prepares for every eventuality, I find myself looking for better ways to carry stuff as my rides get longer and longer. Decided on one of these:

A mini pump that can also take CO2 canisters along with a bottle cage holder.

Looks like it'll be great when the weather is dry. Currently a bit concerned at the crud it'll get covered in on wet roads.

Loads of low level maintenance bits'n'bobs for me.

Biggest single item was a SRAM 11-32t 9-speed cassette. Also a 9-speed chain.

then over the last couple of days new gear and brake inner cables, outer housings, ferrule packs and some nice fi'zi:k bar tape for my ebay "bargain" Cannondale Backroads.

I bought one of those. It got covered in crud on wet roads, leaving the pump full of water and grit. I ended up throwing the holder away and keeping the pump and cartridges!

Having just bought my first mtb for years I needed a couple of bits to go with it.......

New fox helmet as I only have an old full face from downhill/4x days.
New gloves as the old ones got relegated to garage use and are covered in all sorts of motorcycle grime.
A suspension pump so I can set my suspension up properly, rear shock in particular as it's far too soft.
Also having had a few rides on the bike I've decided to swap out the 3 rings on the front to a single ring setup. I've not used the bottom 2 gears on the middle ring (34 teeth) so have a nice hope narrow wide with 36 teeth to put on instead!

Some £20 on-one bibs for me, super comfy and seem to last.
And some £3 merino socks for those evening club runs when there's a bit of a chill in the air.

Ooohhhh!

Is it any good?
Fast satellite lock?
Battery life?
Any problems? (lost sats or other data?)

I want to get one with the wheel speed thingy. For some reason the Bolt is difficult to get at the moment. Wiggle (and CRC) are sold out. Which is a st as I get a discount. And Evans wont match loyalty bonus! frown

I spent £14 on a flanged linkage nut for my Lapierre MTB, since the original was almost completely rounded off. The joy of owning a 5yr old discontinued model from a smaller brand. Still, at least the part is still available...
