That's not parts I hear you say, well, it was to me.

Bought it second hand for the groupset and bits to swap onto another frame. The bike had never been ridden, other than up and down the road when he bought it (I have the original receipt), he never got round to cyclocross racing and now needs a house deposit. So I'm chuffed, got a unused SRAM force groupset cheaper than I could find it online plus all the extras.

Anyone want to buy the frame and forks...? Or an idea of price I should ask on Facebook? I was thinking £200?

Maxxis Minion DHF 2.5WT to replace the 2.3 DHF on the front, which in turn replaced the Minion SS on the back, because, well, we're in the UK. Went tubeless at the same time, piece of piss, both tyres seated first time with an old track pump, don't know why people have so many issues tongue out

And this bit of wonderful kit biggrin

Absolutely not needed, as there was nothing wrong with my old wheels, but I've been hankering after a set of Navigator 5-spokes for my track bike for a while now. Just test-fitted in the picture below as I'm still figuring out how to set up the speed sensor on the wheel without a hub or any spokes for a magnet.

Well, my latest bike purchase has been a troubled affair.

Long story, but it had problems missed on the PDI. When I went back to the shop to raise the issues, they wouldn't look at it without charging me. They also said I'd have to pay for any parts being replaced.

The bike is a Raleigh Mustang Sport and when I spoke to Raleigh direct they could only offer services of another shop, 15 miles away. Ruins the point of using your local bike shop really.

Oh well. Think I'll just fix the issues myself. After being messed around by two local bike shops in the last year, its really put me off using them.

I’ve also stopped using my local bike shop, after being messed around too many times.

I’ve just ordered some Danny MacAskill Fivetens, as I wanted some more casual MTB shoes that I can also drive in, after taking chuncks out of my shin last week when I learned mid hop that my Adidas Superstars don’t grip pedals as well as Fivetens. I unexpectedly found them with 35% off at Leisure Lakes, it must have been a recent change as even Google shopping was still listing them at full price there.

For pedal axle removal. SPD specific?

Got one in my toolbox, came with the first set of SPDs I bought back in the early 90s.

The last week has been a bit expensive, not to mention fraught. I'm going Sram on my gravel bike as I I don't like the double pivot Shimano off road.

Apex 1 rear mech
Apex 1 brake
Apex 1 Shifter / brake
Sun Race 11 - 42 cassette
11 speed chain
cables

Absolute Black 38T narrow wide chain ring.

Good job I didn't pay for most of it biggrin

An evoc CC 3L hydration pack. Whilst looking at their bigger rucksacks I came across a great deal on this one and thought it would be perfect for local rides as my Orange doesn’t have a bottle cage.

I saw your order come in... thank you very much smile (that's us!)

Use the Gumchained Remedy with a nice stern rag or cloth (or in a cleaning machine/cellulose sponge), it's great stuff

I just realised I need a track bike. Not that there’s a track anywhere close but that would look good hanging next to the others. Very nice indeed.

It arrived quickly, thanks!

Used a sponge this time for the gumchained remedy. I have a barbieri cleaner somewhere but it wasn’t in the first few places I looked....

It did a great job cleaning the chains and the ceramic lubricant seems good too, albeit after only 1 short ride so far
