Rent a shock wizz from your lbs for a day. Baseline set-up sorted.

That said, was it MY21 that got a lot of criticism for being quite a harsh ride?

If they're green, they might be. I know a lot if reviews preferred the previous year.
They're the 2023 ones, so should be better but.... TBH 98.73% sure it's user error!

There is a guy locally who rents a shock wizz, and I've used him before. Might well rent again.

Going to ditch the traditional camelbak and try hip pack/frame mounted bottle (Fidlock) combo for short/medium rides.

Mini pump, plugs, phone, sealant pouch, multi-tool and of course soreen all fit.

Early tests of jumping around in my home office are positive.

Video or it didn't happen biglaugh
Tried to get a vid! biggrin

Can confirm that this moves things on from a traditional backpack.

Now I've upgrade from the Cube HT eMTB to a full susp Cannondale, I'm going to downplay the Cube to a gentle Gravel E-Bike. Ensure the differential between them and hunt the mileage.

So just landed a pair of

A pannier too.

Time for assisted gravel touring / pub night stopovers.
Wow - transformed my Cube with these, flying machine and 90% of the time above the speed limiter- runs very well as a road and gravel bike now

Plumped for a set of Prime Carbon Wheels from Wiggle. Went for the 38mm ones, they arrived this morning for the princely sum of £230 (managed to get a 10% discount voucher to work). Wish I'd have also gone for a set of the 50mm ones as well, they were £225 but both out of stock now.

I’m looking to get some new wheels similar to this for a recent bike purchase- I’d like to give Crits a go.

Initially had my eye on some VEL at Sigma, but they sold out as I had a quick blast on the turbo before looking to order some.

As you say Wiggle / CRC also showing no stock on similar items.

If someone is aware of other items to consider, please let me know! Carbon rims, somewhere around 40mm deep, disc, thru axle, compatible with Shimano. Can’t justify the ZIPP 303s on offer at Sigma unfortunately!!!

Just ordered a Granite Portaledge for my soon-to-be delivered Nukeproof Megawatt (just waiting on the C2W voucher!)

Will bolt onto the accessory mount under the top-tube.

Hopefully better than the strap that I'm currently using on my Bird.

After buckling a wheel during the week upgraded to a pair of hand built 36 spoke, 26" disc wheels in the Spa Sale at £145 plus delivery. Even my 16 stone and panniers surely can't break those on a bit of off road tracks.

This is the front. Rear now sold out.
