Basic Time ATAC XC6 pedals for my hardtail to replace the temporary 20 year old SPDs

Have the Speciale 12 on my full sus so can use my winter boots with both bikes now.

Really impressed. Pretty light. Clip really easily (though don't click like most pedals). Don't get clogged. Huge amount of float.

I'd say pretty much the ideal pedal for someone wanting to try clipless for the first time

Me neither, there was a post on Pinkbike with them week before last and I went full Magpie...presta width in the middle with screw sections. These photos will probably make more sense than my description biggrin

Oh they look super convenient!

Less 'aero' but a good pre-ride dump would probably have more of an effect biglaugh

I have a few screw on Schraeder adapters a bit like that which came with Mavic tubeless valves back in the day. Very handy when a tyre wouldn't seat and I needed a boost from a local garage air machine.

They do solve a few issues at once; refilling tubeless much and seating tyres with a compressor...colour is nice too biggrin

New Abus helmet coming for me: https://www.merlincycles.com/abus-aventor-road-bik... in white and red accents to both match my bikes (tart) and also white is cooled in the sun.

Had a Spesh Prospero 2 for ages and it's definitely seen better days, so for sub £50, it seemed silly not to as I'm off to Mallorca in a couple of weeks. As they say - what's your head worth?

Love that Nukeproof colour - along with Renault Liquid Yellow and BMW Phoenix Yellow.

Fitted new Hope E4 brakes this week. Also got a dropper lever to go on.

Hello all, ventured in to this section of PH for some help.
A friend has helped me out and is in to his cycling, budget circa £50, although happy to go up to £100. Cannondale jerseys or Rapha jerseys/etc seem like a good idea but I dont wnat to get him something thats st in the 'bike world'. He is a pro sports person and therefore sponsored by a lot of brands like Oakley, so whatever I do get is probably gonna be a bit st anyway!! biglaugh

Would you like to be my friend too?!

In all seriousness though, I would steer clear of clothing such as jerseys, riders tend to find a brand that works and stick with that. Plus you said he is sponsored so would assume it is covered.

Items that would make nice gifts:

Fidlock have a custom section on their website so you can order bottles and mounts in a custom colourway.

Saddlebag and multi tool

Cycplus pocket sized compressor

Roadie or MTB, if the latter then perhaps an uplift voucher for a bike park? Something like this...

or this...

If he is a roadie, then maybe a new handbag? hehe

Nice...I'm preparing to swap out some perfectly adequate tubeless valves with my new ones. I'll probably get loads of leaks, or blow the tyre off whilst trying to seat it and end up looking like a bukkake victim biggrin

Ha! Thanks for the suggestions. Really helpful, also to others too!

Question - it is for road biking, and I’m liking the idea of that Cycplus thing. Is it fair to say he’ll have something like that already? Sponsored by cannondale and zippspeed(I think they do wheels/tyres?? So may be relevant?!) Sorry. I’m very new to this biglaugh

He'll have something to pump up tyres, but probably not a cycplus.

Custom headset cap might be a nice thing to do.
