Thanks, just need to trim down the steerer tube once I'm definitely happy with the position.

Doesn't look too bad in the picture but trust me....whoever did the decorating needs being shot....awful/shabby work!

Must admit I bloody love the di2! so crisp and quick! I think, after deliberating, I'll be going for full syncroshift....ultimately you could use it like manual mode by using the front mech lever....it only kicks in at the top or bottom of the block....but it is a handy feature!

How are the wheels? Look like they'll be twitchy in cross-winds.

Snap!! Here’s mine, in the kitchen getting a bit of juice! Looking forward to getting on it tomorrow, used my winter hack and Cx Bike for a few weeks!!

Yes, correct - the wheels do not like a crosswind!

It's cross winds I'm a bit worried about to be honest! I've still yet to ride outdoors after breaking my collar bone (6 weeks ago tomorrow!) and I may just wait another couple of weeks to give it a bit more time to recover. It's definitely getting there but still quite weak.

I can use this time to get used to it on the Wahoo Kickr though! Set it up on there last night using the adapter kit and all seems well.

I will say I find getting the rear wheel back in is definitely a bit more tricky than with traditonal QR, struggled a bit last night!

Did a quick sweetspot session on the turbo trainer with it earlier with a few harder efforts thrown in at the end. Felt pretty good.... It's definitely a lot lower than my last bike!!!!!!!

Riding in the drops is insanely low but I can hold it OK. Only did an hour today and, assuming the power2max on there gives the same readings as the power2max on my other bike then it certainly didn't feel any harder. Although to be sure I need to do a fitness test again at some point. Eek.

I've been up and about all day but my hamstrings are bit tight.... Whether that's the new bike set up or what I've done today I'm not sure! Nothing bad though.

I seem to get on OK with the saddle.... No issues after an hour (although admittedly, that's a lot different from 4 hours!) but I may get the angle of the saddle adjusted ever so slightly when I see my bike fitter next. I think it needs pointing down a couple of degrees... I've been using a thin saddle with a channel for a few years now and much prefer them.... My last saddle was too wide so I've never run a narrow saddle with no channel so we'll see how I get on. I don't mind paying for a decent one if it's worth it!

2 new bottle cages ordered as well.

Oh.... It weighs in at 7400g or so according to my suitcase scales. Not bad considering discs, deep wheels etc. Size is 2XS though.

Really lovely looking bikes but just can't get over how fugly disc brakes still look to me on road bikes!

If you want to play around with saddle angles just adjust it yourself, but just make sure you record the original angles/measurements so you can revert easily to save you going back to your bike fitter

I actually don't mind discs, ultimately they are better at stopping which I think is quite important.

Hamstring definitely a bit tight this morning. I actually think my saddle needs moving forwards a touch so I'm going to try moving it forward 5mm or so this morning and see how it feels. I've got very small velcro dots which I can use to mark the current position.

Going back to the bike fitter in 2 weeks anyway as a free follow up. He always does me a good deal as we're friends anyway and I (being a chiropractor) send some of my patients his way too!

In fact I've just tried that. Fortunately the seat rails have 1mm incremental measurements on them, so I just noted what it was before.... I've actually moved it forward 1cm and I think it feels better. I think he set it up with the same fore/aft as the last bike but I think where I'm effectively leaning further forwards I have shifted my hips forwards a bit too... So saddle needs to come with! Will see how it feels later. I'm tempted to buy a saddle with a channel like before.... But will see how it goes!

I'm tempted to buy this in black 130mm width

http://www.wiggle.co.uk/selle-italia-slr-superflow...

I've got a selle smp stratos on my bianchi which I get on really well with. Unfortunately it's no longer available it would appear! But that one looks good. I've texted my bike fitter and will see what he thinks! My SMP stratos on my other bike is 131mm wide so that's basically the same.

May just order it now anyway....if it doesn't suit I can always return it smile

Annoyingly it's developed a creaking saddle now frown

Ordered that new one anyway so hopefully that'll sort it out! Not sure if it's the clamps or the post. I assume the clamps, as it wasn't there when I used the bike yesterday. May try a bit of Bilt Hamber Ferrosol (like wd40 but also an actual lubricant.... And just much better in general) to see if that solves it. Not coming from the cranks as it wasn't there when I was pedaling out of the saddle.

I purposely have the same handlebars + saddle on my bikes so I'm able to set them up exactly the same even if the geometry etc is completely different.

The reach + drop on various handlebars can effectively make the bike upto 20mm longer/shorter which can be 2 sizes bigger/smaller, same goes for saddles as you sit different on different saddles so measuring 2 complete different saddles distance behind BB and comparing is totally pointless

Here it is on the Wahoo Kickr..... It really is pretty low! Riding on the hoods is absolutely fine but it's very low in the drops.... During my session earlier I was doing 5x15mins at 90% FTP and for after 3mins of each rep (so from 3-4mins, 7-8mins and 11-12mins) I rode in the drops. I think it'll just take time to get used to it, but I move my arse forwards a little to accommodate the position.

Overall I'm very, very pleased with it. Just want to ride it outdoors now, but having fallen off and broken my clavicle it's knocked my confidence a bit. I guess on the kickr it's a good way to get used to the position.

New bottle cages ordered too (black) as well as the Bluetooth di2 unit so it can talk to my Garmin. New saddle ordered as well! I think all in it'll cost me almost £6k! rofl

I'm not sure if too many high end road bikes ever go on the 2nd hand market, do they? I suspect when the time eventually comes it'll just be relegated to a spare bike.

My old bike will just become my winter/bad weather/commuting bike now to be honest.
