His attitudes done him, it's appalling. No remorse at all.
I refer readers back to my earlier post in my last experience with a head down roadie.
Worst attitude I've ever experienced from a fellow biker, so abusive, and in front of my young son.
Even after telling him he should perhaps calm down and stop being so abusive, he wouldn't.
He is a target now, if I come across him riding again when I'm on my own. He's coming off that bike.
Complete tool. Did absolutely nothing to make my opinion of roadies higher.
I blame strava lol
I look forward to seeing this quote read out in court and in The Mail during your assault trial!I refer readers back to my earlier post in my last experience with a head down roadie.

This was nothing to do with him racing or speed. He wasn't going fast and the bike would be the best machine for it anyway.
He's some wannabe hipster who obviously knows little about bikes wanting to look cool on what his mates would call a "sick ride". He probably saw some cycle couriers scything though the traffic on their single speed, cut down bars specials a while ago and thought, that's the cool I'm after; a true urban cool guy.
Unfortunately it's come back to bite him. I wonder though if he'd immediately helped the lady and been remorseful would it have got this far.

I'll be miles away before he knows it.
He will be by the side of the road shouting all manner of expletives, except this time he might have to more to worry about than his back tyre wear !!

So not just a tit who happens to be on a road bike... Lots of roadie's have MTB's too, some even have car's as well. It's almost as if you can't pigeon hole someone by the mode of transport they happen to be using at one instance in time... Somebody ought to tell the popular press.I refer readers back to my earlier post in my last experience with a head down roadie.

I NEVER walk anywhere. If I can't find a shop that allows me to simply cycle in through the front door, do all of my shopping without having to dab a foot down, and clear the checkout without stopping, then I just give up and starve to death.
One wonders how "Motorists" ever get from their car parking space to the shop? Although some of them just drive (illegal by the way ) onto the footway, dump the vehicle and walk the short distance to their favourite kebab emporium. Oh? But wait! Wouldn't that make them "Pedestrians" as well as "Motorists"?
Yep I'm probably being very stereotypical, but it's an opinion I've formed of roadies in general, so shoot me down lol.
In all of my years of riding bmx/freestyle/ mtb I've never come across such a disrespectful tit as this. Getting in the way or not, I wouldn't speak to a complete stranger like that, if they had a kid with them or not. Appalling.
He will come to a sorry end carrying on with that attitude.

I guess it never happened then. In fact I actually won a new frame racing downhill with only that hope M4 rear brake. But I must be making that up......
No it didn't happen, unless you friends had basically non-functional V/U brakes. A moderately effective V/U brake has enough power to lock a rear wheel quite easily (again, as most 7 year olds will have discovered) so excessively powerful rear brakes buy you nothing at all in terms of stopping distances.ClaphamGT3 said:

Try racing XC, there's always aggravation, usually when the "Fun" rider catch the Youths and Juveniles on the single track, twice my mate's daughter was knocked off this season, by some petulant man boy who couldn't wait to get past.gazza285 said:
