Thankyou for the links. The Swytch kit also looks quite good. Does anyone have an opinion on them? £360 all in.
I've ordered one but quite a long lead time before I can give you some feedback.

Plot the furthest point from your Car On your weekend route. About there. Give or take a few yards.

I have one of those for my lad. Brilliant bit of kit. I've used it with mates too.

Worth buying a small bit of cheap para-cord to loop round the stem.

Have they dropped the price to £360?

When I looked the 50% special introductory offer was £499 for the cheaper kit. There was also all the taxes to pay on top of that once it was delivered.

I did say the prices were far too high.

I think it was £350 or £360 for the 30km one, but I went for the 50km range one which was £449. Bear in mind there will be VAT (and duties?) on import to pay at some stage though.

Wished I’d gone full eMTB rather than eHybrid. Don’t get me wrong it’s great on the road, but I’ve loads of open countryside with loads of byways and trails where I live, and I would prefer more grip and better CoG that you get with a MTB. I would stay off road nearly all the time. Also, would like rear suspension. I know it’s frowned upon by many riders but I’m in my 50s with dodgy disks in the back so some more comfort would be great.
The Suntour seatpost is your friend- highly recommend on a hard tail for so forgiveness.we’ve on both bikes and it is surprising just how much you see the motion absorbing the bangs on the trails.

Check the seat post diameter required.

Wow, great looking product, excellent reviews. Seems a no brainier. Thanks!
Suspension unit arrived and fitted, will report back on how it feels after I’ve had a good ride on it.

Looks good though. Thanks for the suggestion.

Well, just done ten miles off road and I have to say the suspension has transformed the experience, soaks up all the small and medium bumps, and means you can stay on the seat longer and enjoy the ride much more. Brilliant bit of kit.

Glad you think that... bought ours and put them on fro Day one. I rode on a hard post and fairly hard saddle once - not funny on the trails I found having been used to the Suntour

beer

Waiting patiently until Saturday morning so i can get out on the Orbea again. Went out last Sunday and did a 'casual' 30km. Felt so good to get out on a bike again.

The best way I can describe the assistance from the ebikemotion system is it feels like when i weighed 4 stone less and was regularly cycling 30-40km a time on a standard road bike, which is pretty good for starting out on a healthier road.

Chuffed!!

I just received mine this week after ordering in March.

Easy to fit but unfortunately mine is faulty and doesn’t always power the wheel. Had a Zoom call with Swytch today who are sending out some new parts to hopefully fix it.

It’s been good fun and got me out on my bike a lot more than I usually would.

Sounds good. How much extra did you have to pay on delivery for VAT etc?

Uh-oh.... Motor probs I sense. Noises are manifesting in the Bosch powered Cube.
I've stripped, cleaned and lube the chain first / before the video, probably 0.6 link stretch.
The noise is apparent pedalling with assistance, disappears over the cutout speed or freewheeling.

Borked Bosch ?
I daren't ride it at the mo as have a group ride round Kielder planned Sunday (may even take the analogue yikes )
Whilst all in Warranty I fear the ballache of taking to the LBS and waiting for a) diagnosis, b) replacement (hi

Compare and contrast. Mine and the GF's - Cubes' Gen 4 Bosch.
Mine is on 1,700 miles (ridden a lot harder too) and hers 700miles. Mines getting louder....

Borked.
Replacement Bosch motor incoming.....
Assume the firmware / torque upgrade complete ?

Worth while fitting a new chainring (it’s done 1,700miles) and a new chain (about 0.6 link stretch) at the mo all at the same time ?

Interesting, mine's been what I would call noisy since new - similar noise to that, perhaps not as loud. It's going in for service on Thursday so I'll ask them what they thing.

The tone has definitely changed And almost echos off walls when riding past- and also why I did a compare.

The LBS rang Bosch and described it over the phone and he said he got the feeling Bosch have seen / replaced a few before for it..... wink
