I think it was £350 or £360 for the 30km one, but I went for the 50km range one which was £449. Bear in mind there will be VAT (and duties?) on import to pay at some stage though.
Ours (my wife's) arrived this week. I said I'll fit it as soon as she cleans her bike. smile
Total costs were:
£499 initial cost - silver wheel (black was about £30 more IIRC), upgraded to the 50km battery (£100), added a throttle (£25).
£130 paid last week for vat, import duty.

So ours was £629, cheapest would be just under £500 total.

Another YT Industries fan here. After two Jeffsy’s and a Capra for the hard stuff in the Alps I just ordered my first ebike!

YT Decoy incoming next week, can’t wait to hit the trails with this thing!!!!

I did wonder about the throttle but I wasn't sure on the legality in the UK and it seems like you needed to add a braking sensor if you wanted the throttle. I can change my order until the end of October so if you find it a useful addition and it doesn't need a brake sensor could you let m know? Thanks

I am about 2 months ahead of you on a Cube Stereo 160 SL. So Great fun, great bit of kit. The question i ask myself as i look at my older steeds is, "When do they get used?" Your older kit is infinitely better than mine but the fun factor vs convenience for the eMTB makes my previous bikes almost entirely redundant.

You, with much more capable machinery, what do you think?

Will do. I believe the throttle is illegal, but only in a limited and specific way. wink It (the throttle) is more for me to try than for my wife tbh - she wasn't overly interested, but said she'll give it a go, decide if she wants to keep it on the bike and then if she wants the brake sensors.
I'm assuming the sensors would be pretty pointless for me - my other bike has an engine - but I might be wrong.

Yes it’s possible. There are some forests we ride with very fast tight single tracks and the ebike won’t have as good manoeuvrability but I think 90% of the time it will be used.

The pals I ride with have moved to them in the main in the last six months. I am last to go for it so peer pressure got me pulling the trigger.

So my Cube Stereo hybrid 120 Pro 625 arrived earlier than expected - it was waiting for me when I got home yesterday. I love the colour, a very pale green. Ah, the pain of having to charge the battery for five hours before riding it was a killer - then it was dark outside and my lights haven't arrived yet, so I still haven't ridden it more than up and down the close! It's absolutely amazing, I am utterly gagging to take it out over the Downs.

For anyone who's interested it was £3199. My partners one (which is frame size XS) is currently being given a delivery date of March 2021! Nightmare.

Thankyou for the links. The Swytch kit also looks quite good. Does anyone have an opinion on them? £360 all in.
I ordered two Swytch kits at the end of May for the wife and myself and one of them arrived last week.
Unfortunately the kit was missing the pedal sensor retention ring and trying to get any sort of contact with Swytch is impossible.
I've had no reply to my support email in four days, the phone line doesn't get you anywhere the message just asks you to email.
The live chat on their website doesn't work and I even cycled to the address on their website in Bow today but there's no one there.
Incredibly frustrating that we waited all this time then one kit turns up and a piece is missing.
Heaven knows when the other kit will arrive, they don't seem to be able to tell me.
Edited to say I have now booked a Zoom call with them just to try and speak to somebody but the earliest they had is a week away!

Replacement Bosch motor incoming.....
Assume the firmware / torque upgrade complete ?

Worth while fitting a new chainring (it’s done 1,700miles) and a new chain (about 0.6 link stretch) at the mo all at the same time ?
Credit to Bosch when due.

Dropped the bike at the LBS noon yesterday.
they just rang to say that Bosch had dispatched a replacement motor and was received this morning, fitted and ready to go....

I know you're fairly close in location to me - which LBS do you use? I dropped my Cube back at the shop I got it from for a first 'service' (really just wanted the spanner removing from the control panel), after I asked for a date in August and I'm picking it up tonight, but having to wait 6-7 weeks for an appointment is a bit stupid so recommendations welcome.

hmm, I used Yarm's Bike Rack - only because I knew from the week I bought in April that they were a local Bosch appointed place and the brand new battery failed mid lockdown. I finally (after much head banging) spoke to someone sensible at Bosch UK who said he would dispatch a replacement battery for me to any local authorised Bosch place.

To be fair they (the Bike Rack) also suggested I go to a Cube dealer. I said that the Cube dealers were not so convenient for me, whereas I am in Yarm 2 or three times a week.
They deal more frequently with Giant & Yamaha but done me right in this instance.

I'll continue to use for Bosch / motor related stuff, but have been using an indy mech in Northallerton for the general aspects fo the bike otherwise (strip down service / forks installation etc).

hope that helps.

Skinnergate Cycles in Stockton are Cube dealers

Yes - that was the plan B - or even Sutton Bank.
But never in Stockton, I'm further south.

So far so good.

That looks the business and excellent VFM (although it will need a dropper). Where on the Downs do you ride ? (I have assumed that's the South Downs!).

Indeed, I'm two weeks into e-MTB ownership and don't ache so much now. Locally the Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Butser Hill has some excellent tracks I've been riding the Blue Route which is really good both from a riding point of view as well as the scenery. Hope to have a go at the Red Route soon. I'm grateful for the extra battery power(same output as yours) which means I just sail up the slopes and hilly sections. I avoid parking there due to the extortionate parking fees but locally there are many places to park up and ride in.

I think they are reasonable particularly as the proceeds have massively helped build/maintain the blue that you enjoyed.

Thanks, I absolutely love the bike so far, although only been out on it once and noticed the speedo reading keeps going weird and reporting the wrong speeds before going back to normal (there seems to be little on the internet about this but looks like a new display may be needed, great). Dropper is going to have to wait until I have a few miles under my belt - they seem to be comically expensive. This is something I have noticed after 20 years since last riding - bike stuff is crazy expensive now generally.

I cycle all over the Downs from Eastbourne end, Brighton and over to Worthing, although the Winchester end is my favourite, so come spring I think a train to Winchester and a cycle from there again. I'm a local, but just moved to Haywards Heath so currently looking for some good cycle routes here which avoid busy roads as far as possible - not easy in the horrendously congested South East!
