I'm guessing you are still cooking outside on a fire? Bit of slate for a plate and a hunk of flint for cutting your 'wild bore'.

At 120kg you’re a prime candidate! It can’t be much fun pushing that amount of timber up hill!

On the positive - you can use the water bottle as a 'range extender' .....

I'm guessing range varies if you need to trim a few bushes on the route.

Not sure if trolling but im inclined to agree with you. Horses for courses but going faster for less effort doesnt swing it for me. I like riding uphill. I like the burn. i like the rewarding downhill after all the effort of the uphill through mud and st on my mtb. Best of all, i like having a bike that doesnt need a software security update or a £500 battery pack. Each to their own tho! live and live etc.

My eBike has become my car replacement, 630am commute to work in rain/cold/dark/wind, without the help of a motor I would have taken the car.

For the ride home I turn the motor off so I can get a good work out. Result means instead of spending 40 mintues commuting by car, today I have spent just under 1hr on the bike, so get home without needing feeling the need for a separate bike session on the turbo etc.

Absolutely love my eBike as a commuter tool, I recon we can probably give up the 2nd car in the family with no issues.

Have to say I have been looking a a couple of different retro e-bikes
https://michaelblast.co.uk/

and the Rayvolt Cruzer V3, but the price is eye watering on that one at over 4K!

I'm not into Mud and mountain bikes wink
Just something cool to ride to the local Coffee shop for a bit of fun and I'm not sure I could justify 4k + for that!

Same here. I've been using mine for commuting every day since 2017, rain, snow, ice or sun.

My ride home is all up hill. For a leisure ride out or for some exercise using a normal bike then the hills aren't anything to worry about, but when i've done a 12hr shift at work and just want to get home then I find just can't be bothered tackling the hills on a normal bike. But the ebike makes it all very do-able, day in day out.

So whilst some claim its cheating, if it wasn't for my ebike then I wouldn't have cycled any of the journeys, and would I'd have done them all on my motorbike.

My wife and I have put approximately 7000km on each of our E-bikes.

The vast majority of which is commuting mileage.

Whilst they’re not the solution they are very much part of it, going forward.

Now, for fitness, I just nick my kid’s Carerra Hybrid or the road bike I built him if I’m feeling ‘sportlich’ on a Sunday morning, or ride the e bike on Eco assist.

Cracking things and the only real downsides are as a result of ignorance.
