Electric bicycles - who buys them?

Some issues in the last few days,
My cube acid hardtail cut out whilst me and a mate was at Leeds urban bike park, couldn't get it to start and stay on anymore. Send the information to the trefz warranty dept so I'll await the outcome.
Hoping they send me and the bike to a local bosch dealer tbh, it's under the 2 yr warranty still.
After going out with my mate and his specialized levo for the last 3 months I've finally realised that I need a bike for the job and simply replacing tyres ,bars etc that a hardtail will suffer. (Possibly why the motor fault).
So I've ordered this,
Haibike Xduro Allmtn 2.0 27.5" 2020 - Electric Mountain Bike
I had a certain budget, and this seems to fit the bill components wise for my money, 160mm travel, 500wh (used to 400wh) and Shimano motor.
I understand looks with the battery are not the best but I'm ok with that, never had a Shimano motor so any opinions good or bad are welcome.
I can still cancel the order if it's a rubbish bike.
I've had a Merida with that motor for just over 3 years and its been great, the battery is still healthy and everything works as it should. While the external mounts don't look great the batteries are quite small and you can carry a spare in a back pack much easier than the longer internal type meaning you can tackle big days out My cube acid hardtail cut out whilst me and a mate was at Leeds urban bike park, couldn't get it to start and stay on anymore. Surely it's just the warranty replacement
I have set a target of 400 miles over Christmas. I'm off from Thursday until 6th January. All up and downy stuff on trails. I'm planning on the Sawbench in Gwydyr at least 6 times plus the firetracks over to Capel Curig plus some exploring. Can't wait to have some time off to lose a few pounds.
Best thing I ever bought. Runs a close second to a wedding ring!

Tredz got back to me about the cube acid hardtail motor cutting out, there sending a bike box and it's going back to Wales for investigation.
On another note my haibike 3.0 got delivered from leisure wheels, brilliant bike shop by the way.
Just to assemble it now.
I think it will be like night and day difference from the hardtail
And I've more power 65nm-85nm.
Should keep up with my mate abit easier now on his levo anyway.

Maxing out the torque really chews through battery.
On my Shimano unit I have trail set to max 60nm (out of 70) and don't notice the difference in performance, but the battery lasts significantly longer (boost is still set to 70nm so its there when I need it).
TBH, I wish I never had the upgrade, I dont need the extra torque, and would rather the range. My controller can not adjust like you suggest yours does.On my Shimano unit I have trail set to max 60nm (out of 70) and don't notice the difference in performance, but the battery lasts significantly longer (boost is still set to 70nm so its there when I need it).
