Got it somewhat setup, looks a brilliant bit of kit!

Feels like a sitting on a sofa in comparison.

The dropper post, does this have to be "fully" extended or compressed to sit on fully, or can I stop it half way let's say and ride like that?

IIRC some stop where your arse is. Like a good hooker.

TBH, I wish I never had the upgrade, I dont need the extra torque, and would rather the range. My controller can not adjust like you suggest yours does.
Bike shop should be able to revert it back to previous software.

My thoughts too - but made an arse of it first time round some may remember.
I’ll see how it pans out.
TBHnim livid at the weather on top of the shortened daylight hours
Massively clipped my riding time/miles

If you are on a Cube do you not have the option of Tour and/or EMTB. I am lazier than you and effectively use my Turbo as uplift but if i am doing longer trails i use EMTB to manage battery usage.

I’m in Tour mainly - occasionally EMTb, but want to get home on a 35 mile ride on the hills

Re your posts above, I also has the update on the Cube/Bosch and I wasn't impressed either. There is *possibly* slightly more torque in Tour but I may be clutching at straws.

Which battery do you have? I've got the 625, on a recent fairly tough 25 miler I was in Tour until the final couple of miles when I went up to EMTB, I had 2 bars left when I got back to the car.

I’ve the 500 battery on a hard tail
To be fair, the weather / gloop this side of summer may have a part to play in range too.

but two bars is still decent range no?

I typically dont do anything more than 40km so circa 25. I do Rostrevor in NI, It has a 40km loop which includes about 5000 ft of climbs. I am a svelte 92kg, my Cube 160 is mostly in EMTB, occassionally remember to drop to Tour on the downslopes but even at that i got home with more than 20% in the battery. Are you sure range anxiety isnt stopping you exploring the full capacity of the battery. It feels a bike like the electricity in the last 30% seems to longer if you get my drift...ie the drain seems to slow off.

I wont lie. Range anxiety 'is a thing'. They are a big 'ol lump with odd gearing when assist has gine and you live on top of the hill !

Can confirm a Yamaha PW-ST does about 3-4 miles on 0 miles range laugh
It steps down the assistance the lower it gets.

Joining in on this forum, just because i'm a recent convert.
Reading a few posts about extending range, my experience is high cadence helps, go everywhere in ECO (shimano) only use trail when absolutely necessary and from reading about temperatures on the SC Facebook page, try and keep the battery warm?

Anywhoo here's my toy.

I have Bosch without update and 500w battery, with one thing and another I haven’t had many long rides for ages.

Have users observed diminished range due to the cold weather (Battery performance in cold)? I will bare that in mind when I next get a chance for a 25+ miler.

you find it with a lot of batteries - bike lights for commuting etc - when it gets cold the life reduces quite a bit - i've seen battery "sleeves" for some ebikes so it might keep them warmer a little?

I notice a difference below 5 degrees maybe 10% reduction

I looked at battery covers but like all things labelled "E bike specific" they seem over priced. Ended up buying a neoprene adjustable calf support off Amazon for under a £10 that works well

I'd be very surprised if it made any difference at all.
