Electric bicycles - who buys them?

I'd be very surprised if it made any difference at all.
It will reduce the cooling rate of the battery, but if the battery has been sat on the bike outdoors all night then it would be pointless. Just a general reminder: don’t charge the battery outside in cold weather. It buggers the capacity.

Took the haibike out today for a shakedown, god it's sloppy and slippy.
28miles with a average of 7mph and the battery was more or less done.
That was in EMTB mode all the time, maybe the update does chew power.
28miles is pretty decent and at an average of 7mph its sounds like you were mostly going up. I did find i could help my battery by upping my cadence, on a lower gear. My mate and I both run Cube 160s with the Bosch Gen 4 CX. I'm fatter than him but always have 5-7% more battery at the end of a long run (20miles+) because i spin at a higher cadence. He used to take the piss when he was behind me watching my legs go like the clappers but now sees the benefit of a comedy speed cadence. 28miles with a average of 7mph and the battery was more or less done.

That must chew through battery; I've a 2019 Haibike Sduro Fullnine 5.0 with the Yamahahaha motor and 500Wh battery,That was in EMTB mode all the time, maybe the update does chew power.
I can JUST about do the Mary Townely loop and that's 47 miles. There's a lot of climbing.

Yeah I think it does to be fair, must be constantly going into turbo mode for any real pedal resistance.I can JUST about do the Mary Townely loop and that's 47 miles. There's a lot of climbing.

As a system though, it's very good at the automatic power output, smooth.
Plus the "kickdown" boost feature works well to get over logs and rocks.
Interested in peoples current viewpoint on the Cube Hardtail MTBs.
Early opinions seemed positive, I’m wondering if those views after a few months of ownership and miles ridden.
Also, any other recommendations for his and her hard tail MTB bikes in the 1200-1800 price range. Preferably using the same battery pack.

Cube Acid One - we started off with one of those each. They do a ladies frame version too. Early opinions seemed positive, I’m wondering if those views after a few months of ownership and miles ridden.

They do seem to supply just a slightly better component level for the money than most others. But not ridden one yet, and you can't get hold of them at the moment.

Two versions, with the Pro being slightly more expensive.
