So I can get a direct comparison of a hill I know, could you overlay this segment:
https://www.strava.com/segments/3771588 (hardest hill in my area)
Over that pretty graph? I don't have veloviewer pro to do the comparison bit

Once the wave load window closes, are you meant to just stand there for 30 to 60 minutes waiting to ride? Can you wonder off for a toilet break and sit down?
Once you're in your pen you're in.There's not much room or anything to do really, if you're at the edge you may be able to lean your bike against the rails, if not an someone will hold your bike you may be able to get to the edge so you can climb the barrier and use the portaloos if you really need to.

Last time I did the event, I was desperate for the loo on arrival. Despite the huge queue at the loos before the pens, I waited...once inside there was no loo roll and it looked like it had come straight from Glastonbury without being cleaned...so my desperation vanished. This all made me late for the pen but not too late. There were loos in the pens, no queue and nice and clean There's not much room or anything to do really, if you're at the edge you may be able to lean your bike against the rails, if not an someone will hold your bike you may be able to get to the edge so you can climb the barrier and use the portaloos if you really need to.

You've left it a bit late unless you're made of money!
I'd recommend the Moxy if you don't mind the hipster vibe. I'm a fan, they don't suit everyone but at least they're a bit different. It's also cheaper than the IBS, sorry, ibis, and I know which one I'd rather stay in!
Ended up getting a room in the Premier inn, ExCel, not too costly either.I'd recommend the Moxy if you don't mind the hipster vibe. I'm a fan, they don't suit everyone but at least they're a bit different. It's also cheaper than the IBS, sorry, ibis, and I know which one I'd rather stay in!
