I always bump into PHers on the route, I'm sure it will happen sometime in the middle of the night.
Or shortly after setting off thumbup Nice to bump into you.

That wind was quite unhelpful in the end. Especially on the way back.
You were the only person that I spotted. As I said, thanks to the arm warmers that I've seen you wearing in your mega cycling journeys! biggrin

I loved the wind our of London, it gave my dodgy knee a big helping hand even if it played up much later on.

It was so much quieter than ever before, thanks to Ride London happening on the same weekend. It made it less hectic getting out of London but did lack a bit of atmosphere later in the night as the pubs, etc were not nearly as busy as usual.

I still loved it, and will be back again next year for my 8th on the trot.

How’s this for lacking atmosphere hehe

It’s a waste of a great ride to smash through it quickly. Hitting the beach so early was completely missing the point too. I got to enjoy a little bit of atmosphere by the lake, around 30 miles into the return leg, which was otherwise a dull slog against wind, rain and saddle sores.

^^^^^^^^

That's my usual midway stop, and it was quieter than usual but not that quiet. We got a table inside, there was plenty of room. I'm sure on Sunday they would have had more than a few hamburgers and hotdogs left over.

I did briefly see you there last year with Justin and the rest of the PH lot.
