Road Bikes - Disc or Not
Discussion
Another disadvantage for hydraulic road bike disc braking systems:
If, like me, you have interruptor brakes on all your road bikes, it is extremely difficult to include these in a full hydro system.
I am aware that there is a set available (Hope?), and that you can get round it with the Hy/Rd or Juin Tech hybrid brakes.
I personally run Avid BB7 Road on my commuter with Jagwire cables/outers and interruptor brake levers, and they're ok. I would suggest they are worse in the dry (than Mini-V brakes) and much better in the wet.
Having said all that, I'm currently building a 1x10 road bike with rim brakes on a tiny budget!
