I don’t look at my bike when I’m riding it, as long as everything still works at the end of the ride, I’m happy. More likely you are bored with riding because your rides are boring.

Quite possibly yes. It doesn't help that I dont commute to the extent I did, plus my work and childcare commitments rule out most weekends and all evenings without exception.

Having read your recent thread in the 'All Creatures' forum I'm really struggling with this thread confused

Looking at dropping 2.5k on the previous gen S5 is fking mental, I simply can't recall reading a review that would suggest whilst they are fast bikes, they don't have that 'special' feeling that some bikes manage to have.

Fully agree with you on that.

Probably the most boring way to spend £4k ( £7k rrp!) on a bike.

I'd also say you'd garner far more 'respect' or whatever validation it is that you seem to crave from having a fairly normal bike and being strong as fck.
If an old boy riding on a Raleigh Banana passed me on a monster climb I'd have far more respect than the guy riding a Specialissima that I ride past.

But I'd buy the Specialissima.

It’s all typical of Dizeee though isn’t it. He can’t afford to insure or treat at the vets his now late dog but he’s looking at spending £1500 on upgrading a bike that he barely rides and is more than good enough anyway.

Hadn't read that.

FFS - pathetic.
