£1,200 even with the upgrades as they were covered by the proceeds of the bits I sold. It has probably covered 50 miles in 3 years. Not bad for full CF, M1700, full GX Eagle, nice performance Fox suspension with Grip 2. G2 RS brakes.
That's a great price, I'm calling the cops I know, right. A COVID bike. Overspecced, under used.
Thanks chaps, it's a 2018 NS Bikes Snabb, it was matt black...been tempted by newer bikes, but I really like the 65 degree headtube compared to slacker newer geo; easier to pull up on lips.
They did a great job of masking, but there are still a couple of areas I'll need to clean up before rebuilding it...I have some ride wrap to fit first though, wish me luck
Front triangle.

Just fitted the 140mm 36s to replace the OE 130mm 34s. Also flipped the chip to low so should yield a 65.5 deg HA.
The new forks are a good 400g heavier half mitigated by the carbon bars and removing the RS lock out grip thing that saved 200g. Not that weight matters, does it?
Probably done for now apart from the cranks which are coming tomorrow in 170mm and 30t instead of the OE 175/32.

Weight like that doesn't matter on a bike like that IMO but then again I ride steel bikes with coil forks and coil shocks so I'm maybe not best placed to talk lol.
Wheels matter though, I'm currently on a mission to cut as much weight out of the wheels on my big enduro bike as possible as the combo of tyres, inserts, sealant and to some degree the cassette I'm running mean they're fairly heavy and making the whole bike feel a bit cumbersome. I did the same recently building up a trail bike and it's night and day different thanks to the lighter wheels, so much more 'poppy' and nimble.

Very true on the wheel front and rotating mass in general. My only personal limitation however, apart from budget, is that too light means I break stuff. I normally go for M1900 so not sure how long the M1700 will survive.
I have also stopped used too aggressive a tyre. I am quite happy with Rekons or the likes, as I don't do much wet riding. The difference is weight is significant compared to say a High Roller or worse.
