You chaps need some berd spokes. They're on my list to try.

Better ride quality and saves a chunk of unsprung mass too.

Interesting about the spokes although £450 plus the cost of rebuilding is not going to happen.

Aye... Not cheap. But if you already have a wheelset with decent rims and hubs, it's a less than a new decent wheelset.

FFS now I'm on their website contemplating the idea of spending £1800 on wheels!

A bike park riding buddy has a pair on his honzo ESD and swears by them. Definitely an interesting feel.

My latest build.
Refreshing my old winter bike into my new race bike.

Stripped down to raw carbon and gloss lacquered, with silver decals.

Nearly finished building, just waiting for the wheels and crankset to come (bought a used one and currently being exchanged under the crankset recall)

Will be running:
Ultegra R8000 mechanical (52/36, 11-28)
FFWD F6R tubs with 25mm Vittoria Corsa G tan wall tyres (the Miche wheels are temporary).

Ignore the rear mech, this is a place holder until next week.

Love it. That looks the dog’s proverbials.

If I could offer you one piece of advice, it's do not spray water around the cranks of a Bosch Gen 4 bike. Go out of your way to avoid it.

I ride through a ford quite frequently and regularly take the guard off and hose it all down, no issues so far yikes

Get yourself a pot of Morgan Blue Aquaproof paste and apply it anywhere water could in, particularly around the axle and bearings.

That stuff is really useful in general TBH and should be in every bikers tool kit. A thin smear of it over a bearing seal creates a proper waterproof barrier.

I've had my pot for years and it's still going strong, you don't need much, even used it for plumbing work at home.

My new TCR SL. It started with a plan to get my 2016 Cannondale SuperSix painted, quoted £1200 with a 6 month wait. Then a new plan was hatched to buy a new frame & shift the groupset over from the SuperSix. Plan C was a new frame, groupset & finishing kit. All that’ll be shunted from my S6 was the wheels & pedals. Oh well ! That’s 7 bloody bikes now …

Definitely some great looking machines on here recently smile

I had a slight off a few years back and scraped my forks on the nds. Had a bit of time this week so had a go at some custom paint.

As they were originally….

Primed and prepped….

Three way colour fade basecoat with a mini jet spraygun….

Some detail masking and then the final effect basecoat….

Clearcoated and refitted on the bike….

Got some Supacaz StarFade Kush tape coming to give it a bit more matching colour up front smile

No, not them…the quote was for the frame forks, bars, stem & seat post. Not that much more to get a new frame & keep my SuperSix original & worth a few bob.
