New (to me) bike day! 2016 Elsworth Epiphany C XC. I love some of the details, it's a stunning looking thing. Inaugural ride was somewhat snowy
Saddle is crap, and the super soft DH tyres need to go, but otherwise I'm very pleased

Lovely bike, don't see many Ellsworths around! There's a picture of my Evolve C further up, though it's covered in mud and taken in the dark so hard to see it. Mine has a Magic Mary on the front and a Maxxis DHR on the rear. Do have a DHF for the front but never got around to putting it on.
Thanks! Yes, I'm very pleased with it. Had a right battle getting the tyres off last night - those DH casements really put up a fight. I've gone Racing Ralph and Nobby Nic combo for now as most stuff around here is pretty fast rolling, but I'll hang onto the old tyres for when I make it to a trail centre or similar.dirtbiker said:
That looks awesome, nice build!
I'm blown away by the quality of kids bikes these days - excited for when our little girl (currently 18 months) can come out with me!
Me too! When I were a lad I got a Raleigh Activator from Blackbushe market I'm blown away by the quality of kids bikes these days - excited for when our little girl (currently 18 months) can come out with me!

BMC Teammachine SLR01 Disc (Caden wheels, Absolute Black oval rings etc)
Transition Smuggler (Pike Ultimates, Delux Ultimate, Bontrager carbon wheels, Absolute Black oval ring etc etc) - kept in the UK
Canyon Strive CF 7.0 (pretty standard aside from Renthal bars and a few other tweaks) - kept in Madeira
Charge Plug single-speed

A nice little collection there! I'm sad that they've stopped making the Charge Plug as it always seemed like a decent buy!
Few little upgrades to my Boardman ADV 8.9 ADV:
- WTB Resolute 700x42mm tyres
- PNW Coast Bars (480mm with 20-degree flare)
- Kinesis Jo Burt series bar tape
- GRX 800 series 1x dropper post lever
- KS Lev Integra dropper post
- Charge Spoon saddle
- 1 x GRX Chainset and 11-42t cassette
- MudHugger GravelHugger front mudguard
- AssSavers Fendor Bendor rear mudguard
Pretty much where I want it to be now - just need to move the rear light to the saddle rails. Lots of fun to ride!

Lovely bike. Uk or Taiwan? Am I right in thinking 853 is uk? How do you choose such a thing?
UK, 853 is UK.My knees are not suited to running after years of road work. I decided another MTB was the way to go. Looked at Sonder Transmitter (Carbon), Cotic BFe and Solaris but picked a Slackline.
Coming from a custom Orange 5 this thing feels fast! Think I'm going to love it!
Only just found this thread, some great bikes.
20 years of bikes in this picture taken last year after updating the Klein groupset (had it hanging around) and cleaned the others.
Klein Pulse Comp (1999) used as my pub bike, running Kona Project 2, Thomson stem, and 2 x 10 XT plus various other odds and ends (Hope front wheel, carbon bars). Resprayed in black a few years back and a bit scratched. Had a child seat on it for a few years. Might get it resprayed again.
Orange P7 Pro (2008). Standard hardtail and running most of the bits it came with. Running 1 x 11 XT and the Fox forks are serviced regularly. Great memories from this bike and still ride it for an occasional bit of nostalgia. It's like a big BMX and gone through many carnations, including single speed for a while.
Ibis Mojo SL (2009) frame. More great memories but times have changed. When it ran well it was great but had the nickname of the TVR because it's plastic (it's not, it's carbon) and kept breaking down. Monumental chain suck. Hated sticky mud as it grouped around the stays. Bearings weren't cheap to replace. No point selling the frame, just hangs in the cave.
Bird Aether 7 (2020). Needed an updated bike and due to everywhere selling out of bikes and the bike for work scheme this was all I could get. Flipping awesome and been to a lot of places already on this (restrictions permitted). First time riding it felt long, slack and like a tractor, and then it just rips. Love it.
Also have a Brompton for commuting (pointless) and a Vitus Venon for road duties (soon to be replaced).
Close up of the Aether.
Cheaper than collecting cars.
