The "Show off your bike" thread! (Vol 2)
Discussion
Washed ready for tomorrow. Stripped down the muc off C3 ceramic wet lube as I'd got lazy with it and it had this odd plastic like build up everywhere with dirt in it. It's been excellent since January, I think I over applied it one time
C3 dry ceramic applied now trying that out now better weather is here
45mm stem and 780 bars back on recently, much more maneuverable compared to 30/35mm and 800mm, lot more fun to ride
The last time I took my trusted old blue Chameleon in for a service the bike shop posted a "then and now" comparison shot on their socials.
Highlights how far things have come in 20 years in terms of both the bikes and the riding.
Similarly as I was out on my latest purchase today, picture below, it struck me how today's entry level hardtail would've been ground breaking for a large part of my riding past let alone the things like that black rocket ship in the background there. Hope I'm still going in another 20 years to see what that brings.

My buddy got one of these recently but I've not seen him for agesHighlights how far things have come in 20 years in terms of both the bikes and the riding.

Hoping I can have a go as they look great. Nice and slack, low at the rear
Freshly serviced Trek Remedy 9 RSL (2017) - gone for 12 speed SRAM with the oil slick Eagle cassette and chain - very impressed.
Not a whole lot of the stock bike left now after a few years and 1,500km of abuse on Aberdeenshire trails.
I really fancy a newer bike with more modern geometry but every time I ride this one it does everything I need - frustrating!
Just to lower standards an amazing amount!
Both of these are mine, the black is a specialized pitch, the red one is a carrera kraken from about 15 years ago.
The pitch is great and needs for nothing, the carrera will probably need a front fork, its had a new wheel and everything works well on it! Its a really great bike to ride comfy and great at covering the light bridleways and trails I will be using it on!
Any tips on front fork for the old timer, as I say light trails and bridleways only really!
