I've just gotten back into biking since lockdown and by in large, everyone local to me has been great. I take care, slow / stop if I see people coming and they have dogs.

Went to a different area very early (for me) last weekend, lot's of good mornings etc. Last guy with 3 dogs, slowed, stopped, nodded good morning. "Fcensoredk off, you ccensoredt!" Followed by a lot more expletives. 6'3 older guy then ran up to me, fists up, threatening me. I'm 5'6 and not a massive person and had stopped. Luckily a few people came round the corner with their dogs and he shouted a load more at me before storming off.

I was genuinely worried at one point I would end up in a fight!

Bizarre.

As above. I've found 90% of people friendly, and grateful I've stopped, or happy to chat etc.

Then occasionally you get someone who has a go at you, despite being on a bridleway and trying hard to get out of the way.

Someone had a go at me on a council run MTB trail the other day. It's specifically made and sign posted for bikes only! And I stopped to let them past...

The local Facebook group to me is awash with anticycling and anti motorbikes. In the Surrey hills. It's an area known for it and yet it surprises them! Why did they choose to live here...?

Its everywhere, last week a cyclist was assaulted by a dog walker on Kenilworth Greenway and ended up in hospital with broken bones.

The road cyclists are a right nuisance. I followed one going 45mph down a hill the other day.

Mtbers I think dig fk out of the local hills and peoples land which causes most of the hatred

So why was a cyclist doing 45mph a nuisance? Assuming it was a NSL, he slowed you by 15mph. How much longer did that add to your journey?

For me if some trail building is done sympathetically and off the beaten track which it usually is ,it’s better than the young lads lasses hanging round getting pissed inhaling gas on a street corner ,trouble Some ramblers with dogs are now venturing deeper into the forest following the Mtb’s which is fine ,but live and let live ,just stop hanging the bags of dog st from the trees ,but know one ever does this ,must be the st fairy at work .
