Weather was markedly better for riders in second half of the field. I had WvA to win, assumed Pog would be close and Kung to feature.

I got nailed by injuries last year so am scared of making changes and burning through the transfers in the first week! Still happy with my team and the plan!

Yeah but they’re barely an inch or two high…. I get your point, it’s not one for the traditional sprinters but I’m trying to win a competition here, I’m not doing all their homework for them!

Cobbles tomorrow, should be fun then it’s a bit of a lumpy stage six, both of which will leave a reduced peloton at the line before the first real climb at the Super Plank of Beautiful Ladies… I’m not packing the team with classics riders for one day but now looking to week 2.

S6

S7

Two more for Pog…. The fact they are keeping Hirschi and Bennett dry at the back says UAE have supreme confidence in Pog alone… a break could take S8 to be honest, it will be their last chance for…… 2022

Stage 8 (Sat)

Stage 9 (Sun)

Monday rest day, then we speculate which Frenchman is going balls out on Bastille Day….

Pog is winning a lot but Rog and Jumbo are doing their best to give these races away. Rog crashed last year and had to abandon and Vinegaard just wasn’t good enough…fast forward to 2022 and history appears to repeating itself…

Anyway, rest day tomorrow so here are some questions.

Are Israel-Premier Tech and Michael Woods even at this race?
Is G really a dark horse for the podium?
Who has been the biggest disappointment so far?
Who will be best Frenchman?
Could I the fight for yellow be over by this the next week?

Forgot a few stages apologies

Today

Tomorrow - that’s going to split quicker than a first date on a college prom night

Friday - first climb is literally “a side of Brie”

Sarah Cracknell (because I was 14 when “you’re in a bad way” was released….)

So nearly stuck double points bonus on Froome today, I just thought he’d go well as brits tend to like AdH for some reason….

I think Pog can put the time on Vin in the TT next week, it’s 40kms but it will be close. G should go well too and secure third

Stage 14 Saturday. The final 5kms sees them gain 350m of altitude which could be really painful

Stage 15 Sunday. This could be good, a break may top that last hill with a good time advantage but it’s still 50kms to the end

13943 points were enough to win our league last year and that’s already been surpassed with two to go….
