I have my garmin record the ride too as just manually delete the garmin entry on Strava (I don't use Garmin for tracking the miles).
Oh ok! I was hoping there was a way to get zwift to write to both garmin connect and Strava and for GC to calculate the intensity minutes as I use GC for training data management and Strava more for social interaction. My Zwift auto uploads to Garmin and Strava and counts my intensity minutes.
If it makes any difference, I think mine goes Zwift -> Garmin -> Strava. As in I connected Strava to my Garmin account which was already linked to Zwift. I’ve never linked Strava to Zwift directly.

I suspect the integration of some features is deliberately st because of brand decisions, like how they don’t count Zwift activities towards challenges.
I reckon that in honesty, they want you doing Garmin training plans, recorded on your Garmin watch/headunit, executed on a Garmin trainer (Tacx).
Bizarre! It worked fine (I have intensity minutes recorded) for route to sky this morning!
Setup…
Elite direto trainer Bluetooth’d to an iPad.
iPad running zwift app displaying the metrics and storing the fit file
iPhone on and Garmin connect running/in the background.
Garmin 955 recorded the ride using ‘bike indoor’ activity profile as a backup. It picked up chest hrm and trainer cadence, power etc. different to zwift though.
Laptop running Netflix….
Anyway zwift app wrote to iPad, iPad to, I guess, Garmin connect (online to phone?) phone to watch. Watch does the Calcs. Looking on the iPhone GC app and GC online the intensity minutes were there?!
Downloaded the watch and after a comparison with zwift deleted it from GC and Strava.

Anybody use ROUVY.
I’ve a handbike (spinal injury) and have tried Zwift, but found it hard “keeping” up with the bikes, becomes a bit lonely plodding about on ya own. Lol.
You can look for rides that are "elastic banded", so that everyone goes at the same speed no matter their power output - more common with workouts - if you like company. If you're just free-riding, it's quite rare (I find) to be with anyone for long periods anyway - some people are faster, some slower, some go up hills quickly, some don't... it soon splits you up.
Or maybe there's a club for handbikes that do their own events? If not, get on the forum and start one!
(And from what I've heard about rider numbers Rouvy, it's not the antidote to loneliness... )
Had an issue today.
Picked an interval session, turned out to be a bit of a stinker.
It was asking for 315w at 80rpm in 5m intervals.
First one was fine but then it kept increasing the resistance. Was on an Atom, had to pack it in when it got down to 40rpm. If you let off the pedals then it would spin up again OK but immediately crank the resistance back on. Zwift is telling me to spin faster when it is controlling the resistance how is that supposed to work?
Canned it and went for a free cycle and the bike was working normally.
Any ideas?

Is that you Cav?
Serious response: I have an Atom 1.0 and it works really well with Zwift
I used to get glitches going up to short spiky intervals but worked around by dropping my cadence just before the HIIT and then speeding up slowly as the resistance increased - if you know what I mean
By short and spiky I mean those sub 1 min ones well into the red, if its over a minute or so I just spin at the same cadence whilst the resistance catches up with what Zwift dictates I should do
Cheers

Bit late to this, sorry, I use Rouvy and love it. Tried just about all the others and along with FulGaz, Rouvy is the only one I get on with. I’ve a handbike (spinal injury) and have tried Zwift, but found it hard “keeping” up with the bikes, becomes a bit lonely plodding about on ya own. Lol.
I use it specifically because I'm a loner and want to just spin away on my own though but you can use it differently in a more social way so I'd give it a try. When doing a ride that's quite 'busy' I'm that much of a loner that my challenge always ends up being either to maintain gaps or where I need to pass someone to do so in a way that I build a huge gap once I'm past. I had a right ride doing that yesterday on a loop around the Italian lakes and I can feel it in my legs this morning.
I've always said that whenever anyone gets a smart trainer for the first time they need to try everything that's available before settling on what suits them, we're all different. When I first started I abused all the offers you can get as a first time user for 'x' no. of months free and alternated between them.

Maybe but even when it started cranking on I held or increased the power to see if it would ease off and it didn't. I was always lower than the requested cadence even when I wasn't near my threshold.

It actually ramped down 5w every 15s or so so it's not as heroic as I made out l.

Something else I've noticed. Zwift absolutely rinses my phone battery, S20 that easily lasts a say of moderate/heavy use used 97% in less than 90 minutes.
Need to buy a longer charging lead.
Wait until you're using it on the road as sat nav and strava recorder - you'll need a VERY long lead Need to buy a longer charging lead.
Well, I finally took the plunge and invested in a refurb PC for Zwift. I'm doing so many hours on it a week that as above, it's hammering my phone battery and because the phone is the GPU, the quality is crap. Basic ex corporate Win10 PC tower, plus a beefier power supply and graphics card from eBay. We'll see how I get on!

Ignoring the fact I'll not be using an Apple device again after having my perfectly functional iPhone developed into obsolescence, I paid half the cost of an iPad 10.

Which GPU did you go for? I've got a refurb Dell i5 I got for Zwift with the intention of adding a GPU but then saw the price of a low profile GTX 1650 - ouch! I'm currently using a i3 NUC and it sometimes struggles on a big group ride at 1080p.Tower PC was 90, GPU 65 and a 650w power unit 40.
