Shoes Shoes Shoes - Entry level!

I really like mine. You should be able to get them for well under the £100.00 budget you mentioned. They're great on and off the bike:

I use SPD on all my bikes, you can get very stiff MTB shoes, in fact many brands just make the same shoes for road and MTB and just have a sole with treads and SPD holes and give it a different name.
eg. I have Shimano XC9 SPD shoes and they are identical to the road RC9 shoes except for the sole fittings. The sole is very stiff, but easy to walk on.

Lightly used on eBay,
I got bought a set of new Giro Terraduro and very lightly used Shimano ME7s for £45 and £50 respectivly last week. Picked the best fit (Shimano) sold the Giros again for £47.50 back on ebay. So total cost is 50 quid plus some paypal fees for a set of shoes that seem to be best part of £140 quid new!
Worth a look if you ask me
