I got a blue tick and didn’t have to pay Twitter for it ! Not sure how/where I could lose it or what I need to do to keep it though.

Feedback - got the plus bike. It’s a nice piece of kit (so it should be for the money)

The ability to push the screen and have it adjust the resistance is nice. Not sure what else the plus got me.

Thank you to nordboy for the code. If anyone one is getting a bike and wants £200 off I also have a code now.
No problem, it's arrived in my peloton shop so just needs spending now. The price on accessories, it won't last long rofl

The plus bike, what you've stated is pretty much the only difference.

Things that work and work well deserve praise am not sure why that's a problem?

Here is me on my way to becoming a real life daddy pig as I approached my 40s.

1 year into my 40s (2 years after getting a Peloton) and am probably 1kg of fat loss away from a proper six pack, Peloton is the only excerise I do, no gym membership, no running/cycling clubs. Others can make up their own mind up about Peloton but for me, worth every single penny.

You also get a slightly larger screen and much better sounding front facing speakers. The speakers make a big difference - on the orignal bike you have to play it pretty loud to hear properly as the speakers face away from the back of the screen.

Don't know if anyone else is doing the Peak your PZ program. Just done probably the hardest week of rides on Peloton so far. Last session of week 7 out of 8, only Z2/3 segments, but 90 minutes + x2 45minute PZ max rides earlier in the week meant the legs were absolutely dead by the end of the last interval, struggling to keep it even in Z3.

Overall HR was surprisingly low though given how knackered the legs felt, compared to the first ride of the program almost identical average output but over 8% lower HR. Hopefully it means with rest the FTP next week should see my FTP get back up to 240ish after dropping to 180 last year.

Howdy all - been doing the strength classes using the Peleton app on my AppleTV. Does anyone know how to get an HR monitor and/or an Apple Watch to work with that setup ? Thanks !

Have you downloaded the Apple watch App? Or on the Android phone app you can cast it to any device and than link any HR monitor to the phone app. Not sure about Apple.

I assume you must have made some significant changes in terms of diet as well?

Apart form the cycling programs, which fitness/strength sessions do you do and how often?

I think you mentioned Tunde Oyeneyin's arm work outs in the past?

I’ve had a Peloton for a few years and have been happily chugging away at individual rides, blissfully unaware of the programs, and in particular the Power Zone stuff. Thanks to this thread I’ve just completed the 5 week introduction to power zones, and have seen a huge gain in my FTP number, so, where do I go next, what are peoples recommended next program?

Quite right, a 6 pack is made in the kitchen not the gym (or Peloton), this thread is what I joined smile.

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

But Peloton was the difference in gaining decent upper body shape. Hadn't been to the gym for nearly 10 years, and I'm still amazed what can do done with no equipment apart from simple dumbells.

Tunde 10 mintues is what I started with because I couldn't lift much at all! After 4 weeks or so I started the 20 minute strength stuff, and now do 30 minute strength sessions + 10-15 minute core sessions between bike bits.

Rad, Jermaine, Adrian do great upper body sessions, Rebecca Kennedy though will kill your abs along with Emma's sessions.

Overall I do 2-3 bike sessions per week, and similar number of strength sessions with 1 or max 2 days break.

Take a decent break than go on to the 'Build your PZ' program, I've done that program 3 times over the last 18 months or so. It's harder than the initial PZ program but it's not a killer.

The new 'Peak your PZ' program is a on a different level, they really ramp up the fatigue. I'm coming to the end of it next week, last week was really hard. 45 minute PZ sessions after a heavy week before that ended in a 90 minute PZ ride really adds up!!

I'll find out tomorrow how much gain I've made in the last 8 weeks, but I have noticed my Hr is now consistently below 50 at rest, and at night not much above 40, so the program has done something to my underlying fitness.

Perfect, thank you very much, that’s exactly the advice I was after, I’d seen the peak your Pz program and thought it looked way too hard, the build program looks ideal, I’ll have a bit of a break and get on it.

I can’t believe the difference in my output now I’m on a proper program, I’d really started to stagnate on the bike, I did very well in the first lockdown, as there wasn’t much else to do, but since then I rarely beat a PB, and don’t feel I’ve progressed much, despite doing 4-5 rides a week. On my 20 minute PZ test on Friday I absolutely smashed my previous 20 minute ride best.

Thanks for the reply.

Will look into the sessions available.

Are you aware of a specific program re upper weights or core (like they do for beginners cycling or intro to PZ etc) or is it a case of mix and match random sessions from various instructors as you go?

My bike has gone out of sync resistance wise for some reason(the resistance is heavier now than it used to be at the settings that I was used to). Has anyone else experienced this or know what might have caused it?

Have you tried doing a reset on it?

If it’s an old bike and out of warranty you’ll probably have to call peloton and ask them to send you a calibration kit.

How do I do the reset please?

Yes and the bike is a couple of years old now.
