Between my son moving house, and weather being all to cock, 7oC in June, I managed to dodge the worst of the wet for a quick 30 miler before tea…

Recovery ride around backyard the day after Triathlon X. Worth it for the view and breakfast stop at Wasdale Sawmill Cafe.

Annual reminder of one of the best kept secrets of travel - it gets cooler in Sydney in winter - this was as I left this morning…

Better news is that the trails look to be drying out, had a scoot along this section of singletrack…

And it’s still nice at the beach, even if it was a bit fresh…

Thanks PomB! I spent ages planning the trip, dreaming about it, looking forward to it, agonising over what to take, where exactly to go, and it worked out better than I hoped. I took so many photos I couldn't look at them for a couple of weeks, it was too much to take in. Now I've put it here, and got back into the daily routine of work rolleyes and cycling routes I know very well, I come back here to remember. Will be back there in 8 weeks smile

Presumably you mean the one that's a cross between ET's chauffeur and The Predator, and not the one taking the picture? Very tricky to spot at first look, but opening the picture and zooming revealed all. Great shot! thumbup

I did my furthest single ride today. 60 miles out to Pembrey Country Park & back. The outbound trip was a killer with the gales but it was kinder coming back smile

From this morning. Never done this trail on a hardtail, also I've not ridden it in a decade!

Great morning, bike really is amazing!

Joined my local club and went on my first small group ride after a few years off. I cheated and took the e-bike after originally being told it'd be 30 miles, flat and then yesterday being told it was 40miles in the Surrey Hills. Glad I did as was just spending c3 hours in the saddle was enough to adjust to, I'd definitely have needed to walk some of the hills. I at least kept it in lowest setting all the way round.

One lovely view that I took a quick snap of before the fun downhill bit!

A breezy 45 miles to West Kirby and back.

Managed to puncture on the return, replacement tube let go on a patch from a previous repair, so had to patch the tube that came out and refit.

Rear wheel bearings now have some slop in them and the BB30a has joined in too.

Off to the LBS (Graham Weigh) for repair tomorrow…

Where was this taken? Looks like a spot in the Surrey Hills.

Having come off last week and smashed my shoulder this has been my view for the last week and probably the next month.

Trying to use it to really get some good training sessions in. The ineos workouts are great.

Top of Ditchling Beacon. A friend is coming over from Italy next week to ride the London to Brighton, and is borrowing my bike. I think subliminally this is why I ended up at the top of Ditchling yesterday!

Went for a ride over the Black Mountain today, but it was overcast and you've all seen it a thousand times on car reviews anyway.

So, have a little track down to the Towy I've never noticed before, along with nature's perfect bike stand conveniently placed:

I went for a cheeky ride down the A31 across the New Forest. Very busy road indeed. Oh, hang on...

(I hopped on just before they shut it rofl)
