Rode round Loch Ken. A well laden cherry tree at the roadside provided a tasty snack on the homeward leg.

Gower bike ride today. Did it last year but coped much better this year, despite the heat. Still slow on the hills though.

New Bike Debut!

It's always an awesome feeling to start peddling a brand new bike, but this one seems especially so. I've not experienced such a widely capable piece of kit, this just flew across a mixed 40km of urban streets, rural tarmac roads, concrete farm roads, gravel bridleways, soft footpaths, grassy sand dunes etc. I'm really happy. I was a little doubtful about having a flat bar, but the drop bar was a lot more expensive.

Anyway, it's a Ribble CGR AL with Sram Apex. And it's wonderful!

Last week's ride, rather than today's (which was an hour and a half of near heavenly riding)... I liked the photo I posted last week so much, I got it printed up for the wall smile

To the picture, or the printers?

Picture is the last one in this album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/LqUTgXPrhLi5C5wXA (as well as a week back on the thread)
(and there's a few other versions/uncropped taken at the same time)

Printers were https://www.photo-canvas.com/, it was 40-odd quid for a 90x40cm canvas print.

If I was doing it again, I'd just quickly photoshop out the white insulators on the pole in the bottom left as they catch my eye a little more in print than on the screen... but not enough to worry about; and, after all, they are part of what is really there.
