Really enjoying getting out on the Mountainbike at lunch times up the back, takes the edge off the working day. New tyres now on order after yesterday’s ride, the rocks aren’t as sharp as flint, not even close tbh, but still managed to slice the sidewall of the rear. Lucky it didn’t flat and leave me walking home.
Welcome to West Lothian

One of the best days ever on the bike yesterday.
80km out to the SW of BP (realised while riding it was a route I’ve done most of once before) then back to a friends house for a bit to celebrate the other in our groups birthday, before the final 15km back home.
15km in and a pit stop for beer...
Home cured meats, homemade pizzas, homemade palinka, beer, G&T supplied by our host. Was amazing

Bit of a Forth estuary run for me this weekend due to the wind direction.
First up, Knockhill from a safe social distance:
Next stop, Blackness Castle:
Then over the Forth road bridge and down in to North Queensferry:
I have concluded that 106km and 1200m climbing, on the back of a night drinking in the hot tub, is not a recipe for a fun ride.

Had the EB out today as my other local ride is winch descend... Repeat. Last trip there was over km of ascent... Not fun on a pedal bike.
Trail gnomes have been very busy... It's been a while since a trail has properly scared me. Almost vertical drop ins into bermed corners... Often with a jump down the fall line into the corner. The jumps are new. Good to do it once in a while or you lose the ability.
Anyway... God's Country. North Yorkshire at its finest.

I don’t have calves or quads like Johnny so it’s static images for me.....
New bike day!
Bianchi Aria Ultegra in “Summertime Dream”.
Beautiful sunny day on the Luxembourg Moselle, albeit with a gusting NE wind today, so the return was slower. My first 25km was 3m30s faster than last time on my Hoy!
~80km today

Lunchtime scoot through the twisties - not as many riders out as I thought there would be. Which was nice...
Can’t usually get away with going in this direction on this section after about 8am, so I had some fun. Changing direction on sections just turns a familiar course into something new, so worth a shot whenever the chance arises

Singletrack through the forest. Slightly downhill so reasonably quick but twisty and rutted in places, j ust enough to keep me 'occupied'

ETA Nice Pace BTW. I was chatting to Adrian's wife and daughter at the weekend suggesting Adrian do a modern version out of Ti. Been there and done it and no interest was the response, which is a shame.
They'd sell like hot cakes.

I'm so used to them and couldn't imagine 'climbing' without them. I have looked at Ergon GP2's, 3's or 4's. They would give me the change of hand position I like when climbing but without being quite so extreme. Watch this space!ETA Nice Pace BTW. I do love my Pace so thanks for your comment. I've had it from new and wouldn't be without it.
There does seem to be a lot of interest in Retro Bikes so I'm sure a Ti version of the original RC200 would be a great seller. Maybe Adrian, Cathy, Aimee, Sophie and the team should have a rethink?
