Another horrible rotten day...
Been a good weekend, feel like I've got some mojo back after being a bit off kilter with my riding lately - maybe just taken longer than I thought to get back to hitting things with confidence after busting a rib or two in a crash on new years eve.
Quite a few PRs and couple of 3rd overall leaderboard rankings, so I'm feeling good about that but also just happy to feel like I'm back into the flow again with less hesitation.

My wife and I escaped to the Lakes for a few days.
We were planning to ride on Thursday but the weather was absolutely so we postponed it until yesterday. Started off from Pooley Bridge and headed up to Askham Fell before dropping down to Howtown and spinning back along Ullswater. We actually had a decent day and given the rain from the previous days, it wasn’t the horror show that I was expecting.

Completed but never again. 35-38 degrees from 0900 onwards, I can’t be bothered with that anymore, will only do gravel events cpl times a year in Europe going forward.
On to the positives, 8hrs 21 moving time for the 160km, feel like I could knock an hour easy off of that in more favourable conditions.
New bike was flawless (almost) managed to crack my saddle.
Loving the ENVE over my previous OPEN, more supple to ride, less numb plums (yes I’ve had multiple bike fits), no more burning triceps or numb hands. Loving the size 60 new frame.
Pics 0r it didn’t happen:

How you finding the Reactor? I was out on mine yesterday giving it some proper abuse for the first time and what a cracking thing it is, proper fallen in love with it. Rides like a much bigger bike than it is, proper agile and nimble little thing. Flies uphill and almost as good as my full enduro bike going down!

I done a decent sized step down locally and it handled it better than my old Tazer 275.
Had to go to Holyhead for work today so took my bike with me and stopped off at CYB on my way home
I did however get a big carried away though one of the risk sections and the rear rim came off worse…
Think I’ll be upgrading to a tyre with a stronger casing for me next to Wales which includes Dyfi bike park.
