We got properly caught out with the weather tonight too. It was around 10 degrees when we set off in the car - 1hr later and North Wales was 0 degrees with snow. Didn’t have the correct gear on so was absolutely freezing.

First time out with the bike and dog today, only about 5k to a local trig point but he followed well. Happy!

When a bunch of slightly adverse conditions combine to make something a drag...

Slightly uphill.
Headwind.
Soft sand.

Most of last week's rides were spent above the snow line.

Saturday Surrey Hills day trip, loads of people walking and riding smiling in the sunshine. Lovely day for 2500ft of climbing.

WTF have you not had any rain in Surrey? The mud up here is so wet it's turning into brown water.

Don't worry, the trails were all sloppy puddle fests...blue sky not indicative of how dry they were smile

It's the dirt... Looks bone dry in that pic.

I can stop being envious I guess biggrin

I'm up to Glentress on Friday... It's forecast deep snow. fking hate British weather at the moment.

We were up at Surrey Hills yesterday and it was perfect riding conditions, not bone dry but nicely "moist" so that the tyres dug in on berms etc - until it started raining again biggrin

Had a nice ride with my son at FoD yesterday. Got overtaken by Court_S on his ebike. The wee lad smashed it on his first ride there, the blue descent was "the best he's ever ridden". After the recent rubbish weather it was nice to have our lunch outside in the sun.

My now annual rental cycle ride in La Coruña, this time I took the green machine up to San Pedro, which looks a lot like a Bond movie Villain's despotic HQ smile

Not your normal pic from today's ride, but chuffed with my new 366 watt FTP/3.43wKG. I know it doesn't really mean much in the grand scheme of things, but for context my previous FTP at the end of Jan this year was 265 and have been shooting for 350 ever since.

Next stop 400!

Approaching the finish line...

...and immediately after the finish, completely broken and gasping for my next breath. Possibly the least flattering picture of me, ever. And there's some pretty stiff competition, trust me wink

A week ago, now, but a couple of snaps my wife took at Battle On The Beach. "Dramatic" weather. A brutal race route. Wind, mud, and waist deep puddles in places. Thankfully the bike wasn't mine. It was an Argon18 Dark Matter demo bike, supplied by a local shop because my new (lower spec) version hadn't been delivered in time.
