The "Photos From Today's Ride" thread. (Vol. 2)
Discussion
About 50 miles / 80km today. I was out earlier than usual to avoid the heat then expected thunderstorms this afternoon…..
The max speed section, a Police car overtook me and the officer in the passenger seat gave me . It’s a 90km/h speed limit there.
And a single photo stop later, as you know what coffee looks like, in the Syre Valley:
It was warming up at the point so I was glad of a lot of shade the trees provide along the road there.

I wish folks would do MPH/Miles I keep having to google calculate it.
Sorry. 'bout that. I live in a metric based country. Miles are a useless reference for me or, I think, anyone else outside the UK or USA.
However, I added miles as my distance for reference.
(Noted for next time.)

400m in 80km, that’s what dreams are made of for me!The max speed section, a Police car overtook me and the officer in the passenger seat gave me . It’s a 90km/h speed limit there.

Doesn’t matter what direction I head off in round here, 100m/10km guaranteed.

Although weirdly, even in the real world, I prefer to climb in metres... ...my Bolt lets me do this while I ride in miles, but Strava won't, so I have to divide by 3ish

On that note, my shortest loop gives me 162m in 9.89Km (or 6.14 miles) and it just gets better from there Doesn’t matter what direction I head off in round here, 100m/10km guaranteed.
(I'm getting a lot better at climbing than I was in Oxfordshire!)

Yeah, the majority of my ride was along the Moselle River valley, hence there's little elevation change there, just headwinds, but otherwise I need to climb when I leave my house in 3/4 of compass directions. Doesn’t matter what direction I head off in round here, 100m/10km guaranteed.
I hate climbing.... I was a sprinter

Saturday, not yesterday.
Nice route, although the previous days’ rain made some of the Kent lanes a bit grim and kept the Puncture Fairies busy.
Not having ridden in London for yonks I didn’t particularly enjoy that - and the one crash we saw in the whole day was a guy who hit one of the CS7 ‘wands’ and smashed himself up pretty badly.
10 of us rode, no mechanicals and just three punctures - but two of those were tubeless and both failed to seal so involved a lot of mess followed by a few miles limping along while we sorted out a meet-up with our support crew for spare wheels: PITA and no road tubeless for me anytime soon, that’s for sure.
Great day out, though - we’re looking at CTS’ partner event in Italy for next year.
