Rapha Pennine Rallye

Pray for my daughter who is currently riding the Rapha Pennine Rally, 500km, self supported gravel/off road ride, Edinburgh to Rapha Manchester. Fixed route with a few checkpoints along the way. Riding as a pair with her mate Issy.

Her bike is underprepared and overgeared, still the spec from her last CX race. She desperately needs lower gearing.

She's just passed over Tan Hill, nr Richmond. Doing well, very proud of her.

I was dot watching this yesterday - Liam Yates must have just smashed it from start to finish.

The end must be a bit of a strange feeling - go from riding in the middle of nowhere to threading through the streets of Manchester.

I wish her pair good luck for the 2nd half.

Looks like Adam Sherlock was first home, but Liam Yates has now finished. Hard to believe the speed they maintained on such a route.

Ah, okay. I wonder if it's tracker issue or he had a problem as Liam had a lead of about 9 hours at CP3.

Couple of my mates are doing it, weather looked 'challenging' to say the least from the pics.

Hope she enjoys it! Seems to be something you either love or hate.
