Sore rear Help!
Discussion
I think not being comfortable is the biggest barrier for people getting in to or staying riding, unless your some kind of pain = gain nutcase. Other specialist websites apply for that.
Putting effort in is not the same as it leaving you in pain for days. I fiddled about with the ride height as initially I was getting knee pain. Once I sorted that by shifted the saddle forward a bit, all was good. Then came the dreaded nether region soreness. I tried different short combo's but once a bit of chafe set-in I struggled to shift it. This nearly brought a declaration - but I like riding.
Last Autumn I discovered Crotch Guard and it made all the difference. It's not easy to find but it's back on Ebay now. The price is higher than chamois, E45, Vaseline etc but it was a total game changer for me and kept me cycling. It's a before and after treatment, with no scent or stain with no weird slimey feel - but other specialist websites may apply for that too.

Just getting back on it after 43 years !! In my day a Dawes Galaxy with Brooke’s B17 was the distance go to.
Now I have a new bike with unsuitable narrow saddle which I’ll change but now I’m older I have huge testes - this is more of an issue than sore bum.
Any solutions to save my space hoppers?

Maybe try a short saddle with a large cutout. Now I have a new bike with unsuitable narrow saddle which I’ll change but now I’m older I have huge testes - this is more of an issue than sore bum.

I have cut-out saddles on all my bikes and find them more comfortable.

You shouldn't be sitting on them. Wider saddle so you are on your sit bones. The saddle level, not angled up.Now I have a new bike with unsuitable narrow saddle which I’ll change but now I’m older I have huge testes - this is more of an issue than sore bum.
